You must go to the London Dungeons Gat. That's my holiday home in the Capital. I'll pop the keys on a courier.
My pleasure but don't clean it for god sake. It took me ages to get it looking like a blokey sort of place. Actually, I wish I was going away this weekend cause it is as boring as **** not having any football to talk about or go see. I'm off on a trip in just over a week's time but only for 5 days and won't miss a Saturday. It's just nice to go somewhere sometimes and as it's in a hotel I don't have to do any washing up and stuff or shopping for the food. Just a question to anyone who comes on here really who might see this. You may remember I mentioned a chap called Tony McShane a while back who was in a nursing home where my mother was. He is an ex Argyle player from the 50's who was a member of Argyle's tour of America at that time. I met his wife again today which is first time I've seen her since I haven't had to go to the Nursing Home which is Down House just up and opposite from the Jack Rabbit pub at Derriford. I asked how he was doing and she told me not very well and he has deteriorated since we last saw him. This fine lady has been visiting him every single day for a long time now and I take my hat off to her as I know how hard it is to do this and watch a close one go down. Anyway, given that they seem to like to give announcements on PASOTI about ex players as in Johnny Williams passing away recently I thought they may like to know about Tony and his current position. I am not a member on there and I don't particularly want to join just to post a note about this so if anyone on here is a poster on there as well would you consider posting something to inform the many very old Argyle supporters who may well remember him. On that cheerie note I'm off to play with the wife.................
God, it doesn't take me all night and the next day Mrs lalala. It was only a short play. Bit of a **** day today with no football to take an interest in. Away next weekend as well so I will be getting withdrawal symptoms again.
Old NickyB was having a look about but I think I've scared him off as he appears to be gone now. Too cold out for prowling this time of year.
I have been trolling through the West-End trouble spots for last night.............and fortunately I have not found any reports of a women dressed in green and white swinging a scarf of the same colour above her head..............eating pasties and swigging cider from a tin can.........shouting out oggi oggi oggi...........so far ! Hopefully this women will eventually get the last train out of Paddington without being arrested. Of course she could be sleeping it off in one of the pods on the London Eye...........problem is that each pod is automatically photographed as it descends back down......... and there will be evidence of her poor state of health (putting it kindly) ........to bring home and show everyone,.......... hope Argyle cannot be recognized on her shirt.........we don't need that sought of fan do we.
Boo, afternoon Sensible & Co, hope you are all wrapped up warm and just waiting for 15:00 when the fabulous Potters Road Show gets underway!!!!!!!!!! Er - probably 3 - 0 to Everton. Mr Pulis doesn't do away. All the best NB
Evening Sensible, how are you? i have not been on for a while, but hope to get back to normal life soon.
Hi joe, am keeping well as I hope your little one is. It has been fairly quiet on here lately anyway so you haven't missed much. Not having a match this weekend and being away for the next one I think has caused a malaise over the world of not606. Not even a prediction league to get excited about.
Hi Sensible, yep no match and no prediction league. How can we survive. Yes all ok and a bit better thanks, had him home for the weekend and all being well he may be discharged from Hospital in the next week, we can,t wait. Its been a long time and still a long long way to go. He is at last putting on weight!! It will be the best xmas present for us to just have him home. How is your xmas plans going/ done all the shopping?
That really is good news joe and I hope you get your Christmas present. I don't do Christmas shopping or at least I didn't. I got dragged around to do the carrying this year as I had no excuse not to go. All I did was walk around behind her with my arms full of stuff shouting "how bloody much is that????". Didn't do me any good as it still got bought. I don't do Christmas much these days either. Kids all grown up and they seem to spend their Christmases doing their thing with their kids and it is so commercial now. I'd sooner lock myself away till it's all over but used to love it when the kids were little and they were so innocent about it. Will see the grandchildren over Christmas but they get so much now. Mrs and me don't bother with presents for each other now. Lets face it if there was anything I really wanted then I would buy it anyway and it is our money rather than mine or her's (I think) so we only end up buying something we don't necessarily want out of our own money. Hello Mrs lalala. Busy Sunday then with the household chores and all. I've done sod all all day and it's been great.
