Welcome home Y'all.................hope the trip was worth it and you enjoyed yourself. Nothing new on the playing side but hopefully now the ban on players will be lifted and we can move forward there as well. plymborn is always moaning isn't he. Nothing new there either plymborn regarding attitudes. Called on a woman once who had a drippy kitchen tap. Said if her husband was a bit handy he could just do the washer and it only cost a few pence for one. She told me hubby was a plumber but she couldn't see why he should have to do it. As I said attitude. There is a sort of mentality to it all and everything had to be done now. Try getting somebody in "now" in your private house sometime and if you are lucky to do it then see how much it will cost you. Human nature is a wonderful thing and after years of it nothing but nothing shocks me anymore including the way some people live. I watched "Life of Grime" on TV just once and it showed a house which was minging. My wife was shocked and even more so when I told her I'd been in worse which was true. Could write a book but people would think I was making it up. Still say however that there are many many smashing people out there.
Welcome Lala hope you had a smashing holiday ..... they've missed you on here especially Greenarmyjoe !
Welcome back Mrs Lala! I bet Beau was pleased to see you. Gat po has done a great job while you were away.
Awwww thank you Mouldy but I don't think Plym or Joe would say the same ..... just cos I missed one point for Plymborn off the Prediction Table you'd have thought I'd promised to buy Argyle and then kept putting off producing the money for 4 months tee hee ..... we are finally out of administration whoo hoo !!!!!
Hi Mrs LaLa,hope things are well with you.........That Gat-Po.........adds up 6+3+3+1+1 and gets an answer of 13 not just once but twice.....very worrying Mrs LaLa.......things should improve now that your back...........I see mouldy has beaten me to asking how Beau is now your back.
Oi Plymborn if you are going to tittle tattle get the story right ..... it wasn't my adding up that was crap I just didn't count your Oxford result ..... haven't you stopped moaning about that yet ..... Sensible someone is after your title !!!!
Thanks all, a few things I discovered whilst over the other side of the pond... 1, Their footy is very frustrating to watch, they run down the wing with the "ball" in their hand but they never make it all the way, they get stopped one way or the other 2, Their cheer leaders do their thing all through the game and not just at intervals. 3, They don't do brass bands like the Brits. 4, They don't use their knives when eating! What's that all about??? 5, There are more obese Americans than Plymothians 6, Some things they do better than us - but not the things that matter 7, They are more easy going than us and I think they have a better way of life, they eat out more for one thing and they don't rush around. 8, I'm not sure that Americans think of the British, I couldn't gauge it. 9, They eat their veg before their main course! Yes GAT did a great job.
1. They are generally fat. 2. They are loud. 3. They are greedy. 4. They are generally insular and a large number poorly educated. 5. They hate parrots 6. They don't play proper football but steal the name. 7. They have a world series in which only they take part. 8. They are fat. I've never been but could have told you all of that before you took off. We as Brits however only have one of the above traits and I will leave you to pick which it is.
Quiet in here tonight. Somebody still asleep or all of you? I've been looking around the football sites trying to see what the rumours are transfer wise but it is all very thin on the ground at the moment. I was kind of hoping we would have something to talk about by now but alas PASOTI is still intent on blowing trumpets and the Herald has nothing worthy of a mention. Quiet pint of wine and an early night then.
I'll give you a rumour Sensible apparently we are after John Parkin of Cardiff and supposedly signing Steve Kabba in January !
Saw a reference to Parkin but thought the conclusion was it was a definate no on that one. I have voted on the loo.
Just looked up Kabba and his first team appearances are quite thin considering he has been about so long. Played in all 4 divisions though and has a reasonable score ratio per games played. Can't say I know of him particularly but there again I'm not one of those annorak types when it comes to players.
