Not that League form means much in this competition; Oxford at home. 1 win, 2 draws 2 losses. Goals: 5 for and 7 against Pompey away: 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss. Goals: 10 for and 11 against
2-1 away win for Pompey - excellent stuff ! Sounded like we played much better in the second half especially after replacing Romain Padovani with big Pat. Goals from him and John Marquis. To top it all, PFC fans comprised around one third of the attendance. PUP
Have it ! I used to dread going to that poky old Manor ground, if they still played there, we might have struggled
I remember going to the old Manor Ground many years ago - Pompey got stuffed 4-1 (I think) in a cup match. We were quite poor ! Wasn't there quite a serious slope on the pitch one end ?
There was a bit of a slope, but nothing on Barnet's. Most of all I used to hate their announcer, I think it was a teenager who used to shout when they scored, "Oxford's first goal scored by number 9(?) Joey Beauchamp", he had a really high pitched nasal voice.

The other 7 sides in the Southern section quarters are: Newport Peterborough Leyton Orient Stevenage Swindon Dagenham & Redbridge Wycombe Who do you fancy/want to avoid?
Avoid Newport and Peterborough. I'd like to see us play Stevenage - both Patrick Agyemang & 'Basildon' Bondz would enjoy that match !
You are correct Stewie - there is a Northern section final, and a Southern section final, and the winners of these meet at Wembley in the grand final itself.
So we got Newport away. There's only one thing for it.
