Dfer flying the Chelsea Ladies blue flag again. New season started 2 league games two wins top of the table. Today as the guys scraped passed QPR the Ladies knocked out the FA cup holders Arsenal to reach the quarter final. Losing the title on GD last season on the final day seems to have made the Ladies determined to destroy everyone this time around. World cup year and three blues in the Engerland squad and probably be more at this rate before the summer.

Great to hear. Haven't seen Chelsea ladies play, but did watch the Ladies world cup on tele and regularly watch the Aussie womens league. They train and work as hard as any mens team, and deserve all the respect and rewards they get. Hope CLFT go on and win their League.

Who'd they lose the title to on GD, and were they Champions when they "lost it".?

Nope Sisu. Liverpool won it as Chelsea lost to Man City. Chelsea ladies have never won the WSL. All of the teams in WSL can beat any other, unlike last season, all are more professional, gone are the days where Donny Belles and Arsenal ruled. This year It will come down to luck with injuries, squad size, quality of reserve players and determination. Last season Chelsea lost their no 1 keeper just after the start of the final game. The reserve keeper was a teenager who had never played a competitive game ever before and she played like it. This year Chelsea ladies signed a Swedish International keeper to give Marie cover and competition.

Jackie was fantastic on the ball, but she was kept out this season by Drew Spence who was always good at winning the ball but upped her passing game and started to score goals which left Jackie on the bench. I think it may have been Jackie's call to leave as she would walk into the starting eleven in any team in Germany. Plus she was studying law, as Eni Aluko and Claire Raffery were doing and perhaps Jackie either finished her UK law studies or gave up. The way the ladies game goes though we may she her back at Chelsea again one day.
