Along with creativity I'd say our biggest deficiency this season was a lack of any real pace, one of those physical traits you said Hootun was going to load our squad with.

Unfortunately he set his sights even lower than I gave him credit for, power and strength.

Hughton didn't have an imaginatve bone in his body.

So today we need:

-Cardiff to lose at Newcastle
-Stoke to beat Fulham
-United to beat Sunderland
-Hull to beat Villa
-Everton to lose to Man City

Then a point tomorrow means a win in the last game of the season against a safe Arsenal should secure our survival, hopefully at the expense of Villa.

Easy.

I don't think Villa have read the script! <steam>

Not so sure Thai - the last day of the season to me has always been full of intrigue - unfortunately we're in the mix this year, but the race for Champion and the avoidance of the great plop drop surely must have a few more folk tuning in. I'm gutted to be where we are this season, but it's deserved. If, miracle of miracles and by the skin of the ball bag of which ever God we subscribe to kicks in for us in the next 45 mins, tomorrow and next weekend, we will be the luckiest bullet dodgers since the game began.

I agree, I have always loved watching the relegation battle over the the other end of the league, although when Man City nicked the title in the last few minutes, when they beat QPR 3-2 was compelling viewing. However, I am sure the 'powers' would rather be talking all day about the top 4 teams, not Fulham, Cardiff and Norwich <ok>

Aye that was some proper entertainment and my love for QPR just went into overdrive that day. A smashing game and not a movie I've ever seen serves up such drama.

Really need United to do us a favour in these final 30 minutes or so!

it shows just how much worlds apart we are playing as team ( Sunderland\Norwich), we get smashed all over the park and they go there and win! well done Gus you and your boys deserve it <ok>
