Who’s going to be captain for the new season, Ayling would be my choice.

    Very, very good question!

I will split my sides laughing if Bielsa goes with Cooper. That'll deflate a few 'experts'. :)

Seriously though, Ayling is a good choice, and he's picked up the armband before, so you know he's not afraid of the responsibility.

Other candidates? Toughie. I'm inclined to suggest Forshaw, but for the life of me, I cannot give a logical reason for doing so. Suspect his prone-ness to injury might rule him out, especially if this toe injury is a biggie.

    A dearth of candidates, tbh.

Possibly, but I wouldn't think he's had enough time to influence Bielsa yet, nor does he have enough time before Sunday. Then again, remember how long it took into the season last year before we found out.

Marcelo Bielsa had a question. The new Leeds manager wanted to find out how hard the average supporter had to work to pay for a ticket to watch the team. How many hours did he or she have to put in? It was unclear what kind of calculations went into the answer but one was provided. It would be about three.

So the Argentinian called his players together and he told them that, for the next three hours, they would be picking up litter from around the club’s Thorp Arch training ground. He wanted them to learn a lesson; to appreciate how the fans laboured to fulfil their passion.

Should have fined them for dropping the feckin' litter in the first place! <whistle>

This is soooo old school & I'm loving it.
