I like the Fencing too...once you figure out what the hell is going on...it's readjusting your eyes to spot what's happening live though...it's that fast and subtle at times..
Think its about time that if someone is caught taking drugs that they should be banned for life. You've done it once its likely that your likely to do it again, It'd also stop all the controversy over letting the cheats back in.
The UK Athletes body actually did but got taken to court by the IOC or something and had to backtrack as it was deemed illegal.
If one takes drugs to reach a certain muscle mass it is easier later to get higher muscle mass even without drugs. Gaining muscle your cells divide and produce new muscle cells. When you lose muscle mass cells don't die they just shrink. Next time you gain muscle it is easier. Muscle cells expand you don't have to grow new ones. Once you take performance-enhancing drugs you potentially have a slight advantage over anyone who hasn't. Even if you stop. If anyone who has taken drugs (even years ago) is up against someone who hasn't they could potentially have an unfair advantage. Therefore I agree. Cheat once and you're out for good.
I agree also. A certain 100m sprinter who is far to old to be suddenly running the speeds he is after his ban is a stain on all athletics and frankly theres a high chance bolt will be beaten this time due to that hamstring injury.
Mens weightlifting - always thought that was a weird one to make into your main sport, bit boring really
its very very odd. there's bascially lads who are midgets lifting and i just find it quite bizarre... I don't consider that a sport, i don't know why there's weight classes in it.. surely the whole premise is a strong man contest so the biggest prevail.
