The Olympic Thread

Well I'm back from my exploits :) and what an Olympics and holiday it's been. Well chuffed that TeamGB has almost reached 30 golds and over 60 medals in total. What an achievement for our country and athletes.
 
Great stuff. Mate of mine is a volunteer up there. She says it was fantastic.

When will they include rugby;golf;dominoes;cards;shove'apenny;chess;coin throwing;holding breath under water;anaconda wrestling;sheep shearing;darts;hopscotch;hard boiled egg consumption,etc.,etc.
 
Vetch, in the 1948 Olympics, John Copley won a silver medal for "Engravings and Etchings" in the Arts competition. How about that then?

What about tossing the caber? Slingshot? Blow football? Subbuteo? All worthy of inclusion,if you ask me.
 
to include - rodeo, roadkill eating, outlaw motor cycle gang warfare (in place of skeet shooting), sheep shagging (kiwis or wales for the gold), conkers

They were,and still are,quite appalling. Not a hint of talent.

Now if you want really talented girl groups,I give you Martha Reeves and the Vandellas;The Supremes: The Marvellettes,and many other Motowners. I'd watch those any time.
