    Midlands-tiger.

I'll get back to you on that one. I will be seeing many of the "oldskool" today, let's see what they remember. If anything. It was a long time ago, memories fade. Sometimes for very good reasons.

Do remember Ricky heritage a bit. Remember at Mansfield a part of the stand( concrete panel) fell on his feet. Been him he had Steel Capped boots on so no damage.

Think last I heard of him he was on the field of a mates farm poaching so they sent an Alsatian out.

Apart from this don't know what happened to him. Been only a young kid at the time he seemed ancient even then.

Ricky assaulted a young quiet lad who refused to hand over 10p, the following away match this lads elder brothers turned up. Mr heritage was held accountable for his actions and had to make his own way home in a dishevelled state. He was advised never to attend Hull City matches again and he took that advice. Hull City lost a fan that day. The other side of that coin was buses that were usually half/two thirds full, went to being full to overfull on a regular basis and City's away support grew and grew.

The rest as they say is history.

Ha! Good work, sounds like it's nothing less than he deserved. Obviously wasn't a true fan if he's gonna con and bully his own fellow supporters, I suspect he was a bit of a 'hooligan'? I'm actually surprised people would take **** like that off someone, and that it took time for anyone to stand up to him. I guess the lads brothers weren't people to be messed with.. Does the Ricky guy still not go to city games?

I went on the double deckers a couple of times. I don't/didn't live locally so it wasn't often an option but sometimes when visiting the family I went on the trips. My most memorable would have been to Darlington around Christmas 1982. The lady who was to eventually become Mrs Tiger had just arrived from the USA to meet the family for the first time. On her 2nd day in England we convinced her that trips such as this were the pinnacle of enjoyment -- I think once the bus started singing "get your tits out ..." to her and she had been shaken to death on a KHCT Leyland Atlantean for several hours she realised we were lying.

When we got to Darlo the plod tried to keep us herded in near Feethams but they got an earfull of "I'm an American Citizen and you have no rights to tell me that I have to stay here, etc". They didn't know what to do so meekly stood aside to let us through.

Being dead is an acceptaable excuse I would agree. I had not heard of the demise of Mr Heritage.
Other posters of a similair age may or may not be aware that, Alby Johnson (aka Sinbad) passed away in the past few months.
You only live until the day you die. Same for all of us.

    RIP Alby.
