Is it Moyes or the players?

Players - proven winners ( bar Afro ) time and time again. Perhaps it was all Fergie or perhaps it was down to the massive amount of respect they had for Fergie which meant they trusted everything he did, even when it seemed insane.

Moyes - I dont think the players trust or believe in him.

Where does that leave us? Back him in January and see what h can do from there.

We cant afford to finish outside the top 4, literally.

was rooney or chicha better? both are way too inconsistent.. Rooney was average too and lost possession of ball alot today. let us admit aside from RVP we lack sharpness upfront ...the team need serious investment imo,we can't rely on RVP only to score goals
we need too someone from mid who can score goals too .. there is no one atm .. so am not surprised we lack goals
worst as there is no creativity and you have to rely on 40 years old player to do that
we all knew we gonna be screwed when of carrick or Evra are out bcz currently we have no replacement for both

I blame the manager too, Moyes is way too conservative.. I think now Roberto Martínez would had been better fit for UTD bcz at least he knows how to attack ..

imo our board didn't help our new manager too, the team needed serious investment, even at Sir Alex time.. so it was logical when a new manager came they needed to support him better

I think it's a bit of all of what you have said. Also I think the fear that teams used to have when facing united is now gone. I think it was Roy Keane who said that some teams were beat before they even went on the field, i think this left with fergie.

I would hate to become City and have 300 managers in 50 years, but Moyes is simply not good enough

Rooney has carried us for weeks.....

The reason nobody scores from midfield?

    Valencia - Giggs - fellaini - Welbeck.

Do I need to explain this, a ****ing 2 year old mentally ******ed chimpanzee could see why we don score goals from midfield. Without even looking I suspect those 4 players havent scored 5 goals between them in the past 2billion ****ing years.

Whos fault was the midfield? The managers. Sure he had limited options but he stuck the 4 least creative players on, none of which offer a single thing going forward.

Take another look at it.... Valencia - Giggs - fellaini - Welbeck.

They didnt create a thing during their time on the pitch. The sad thing is, besides the loss, the 2 far superior players who came on second half ( Nani and januzaj ) created far more in their short stint that the above have done in a PL game for ages. The two of them will be dropped for 3 months now. Logic....

At first I thought I was mistaken and this was the 'excrement' match thread - then, unfortunately, I saw the game.

Still giving Moyes time boys, still gving Moyes time........................................................tick tock, Moyes out, my club is more important than Fergie's ego.

    Moyes' problem right there.
They are sticking with the old guard and the old reliables rather than the young talent that has flair and can actually create something.
Some could argue that Jose is also suffering from this affliction at Chelsea, only to a much less degree because his reliable centre mid players (Lampard, Ramires, Mikel) can still create something, even if there might be younger and more creative players in the squad.

United midfield is looking dire guys, and has been for quite some time.
Nani and Januzaj are great players and both should have started.
I mean starting with Giggs!! ffs the guy is 40 years old. He should be brought in to games with 20 minutes left!

Your squad, for the last 3 years, has been crying out for a player like 1996 Paul Scholes or 2005 Frank Lampard. **** even present day Lampard would be an upgrade

Rooney is not a goal scoring machine .. he is good overall striker but he is not scoring enough goals .. with his skills and working rate, he is better playing behind the main striker
playing Kagawa instead and pushing Rooney upfront, can work facing weaker sides, but not Everton

I blame all mid for not scoring goals including Nani, cleverly, Kagawa and Young too.. look to Arsenal .. they are top thanks for goals from a player like Ramsey.. but credit to him he knows now how to score those goals now

I think UTD tough matches run at the start of the season had hammered our confidence and made teams believe they can get points in OT ..while the easy run of matches give Arsenal all the confidence .. even today we had hit the woodwork 2 times .. it just like everything going against us this season

am not sure why you didn't criticize the manager though, he has a big part of the blame tbh, he is way too conservative .. he made some good changes but it was too late imo..we are not everton .. we need to start attacking teams from the start not too late .. what happens is that we are too conservative, and is 0-0 or 1-0 and we end up finishing the match nervously as we didn't killed the match .. we should go attacking and i rather we concede a goal at start than leave it too late for us to come back

am afraid between Martínez and Moyes, we did the wrong choice .. hope am proven wrong .. but our manager need to have some balls and start attacking more .. we have far better players than everton, if we are 5 points behind them now, this is down to Moyes not using his players better

I think Moyes is trying to hard not to lose. That's what we are going to get with Moyes in charge. We have to play almost every game like we're the second best team on the field, and it's pathetic. I'd much rather we had gone and grabbed someone who was more of a risk as a managerial appointment, as he would probably take risks in the team selection.

Moyes doesn't even know what is first choice CB pairing is! Sometimes you have that problem, but almost everytime a manager plays the same two players consistently they stop leaking goals. It happened to us for awhile under Fergie, then he realized to just play the same 2 and let them build a partnership. Every game we have a different pair of CBs. And past the CBs he doesn't really know who else to play anywhere, other than Rooney up top, De Gea in goal, and Rafael, and Evra as the fullbacks.

Speaking of Rafael, I'm still a bit baffled by subbing him off and putting Valencia at RB. Rafael was creating more as a fullback than Valencia has all season as a right winger. Take off the only player who seemed capable of putting in a cross, for someone who hasn't put in a good cross all season. Why not just sub Valencia off?

Anyways, Moyes deserves a fair shot at making this team his team and deserves credit for getting Rooney playing the way he is now. I am however afraid of the team we'll become under Moyes, if our general performance this season is anything to go by.

Rooney can be a goal scoring machine, see 09/10 for an example, or 11/12, where he was right behind RVP for golden boot all season. He's capable of much more than scoring goals. Our problem now, is no one other than Rooney seems capable of scoring goals. It's a sad sad day when your second biggest goal threat is Patrice Evra. <laugh>

Im worried for the Newcastle game. Its going to be another case of playing for the draw. No Rooney.

Also whats going on between Moyes and RvP? He was very blunt in his interview stating he doesnt know when he will be back. It was only a minor injury wasnt it. Miss a game as a precaution sort of thing?

At this stage i'm finding it hard to be all that upset about a result i fully expected. We are frail at best when RVP isn't playing.

Also beginning to suspect that i dreamt the Leverkusen match.

UIR, considering you won't win the CL that's just a smokescreen for Utd's frailties for the time being, SAF chose the wrong man end of.
