I imagine that there will be a lot of fairly distasteful stuff on a number of boards.

A divisive figure who probably was necessary despite the pain she caused a significant proportion of the population - it will be interesting to see how history judges her. People forget that she won three general elections so clearly a lot of people thought she did a lot right although with the benefit of hindsight she probably could have been a little more generous with her opponents.

Definitely had bigger stones than any of the simpering jessies from either side who followed her - a woman to be repsected if not loved or admired.

As an ex Trade Union Secretary, I would be glad to debate Thatcher all day and night (in the pub of course) with you JWM but here isn't the place. Goodness, this forum is divided enough as it is without adding to it.
 
Stick to your guns beefy, you are entitled to your opinion on the referee wether anyone agrees with you or not,problem is from the 4th post onwards the thread just loses all direction because of the binner hurling insults and abuse,its just a shame them idiots post on our board they cause half the problems.
 
Guys (and gals), I really don't think it's healthy to keep this thread going, can we just let it slide gracefully off the first page? We're not covering anything new here.
