I don't care about brand. Don't think my son does either he just wants A game console. No point getting "pro" version of PlayStation or "s" version of Xbox I assume if not using on 4k screen?

I'd ask him which console his mates play on. Online gaming is the whole point of getting a console now, single player mode is slowly going out of fashion.
It looks like he has decided Xbox. I don't think he has a reason, at least he can't give me a coherent one. I do know he has friends with Xboxes though so that works out. His uncle has one too.
Make sure you get a headset as well so he can talk with his mates, if it doesn't come free with the Xbox. He will inevitably need one and it'll save you having to make two trips to the shops. Turtle beach is the go to brand from what I remember.
We have a couple of headset already. I have them from PC gaming with my brother. He can borrow one if not included. Assuming fits standard ports.
Ok so Jungle programme is done, need X Factor finished and I'll be a happy man.

The answer to both these questions is that I download the shows as they air in the US.
I don't watch UK TV (other than football really, and the odd event, concerts etc).
Didn't realise that the UK was lagging behind on the DC shows.
It's a 4 show crossover, where Barry Allen and Cisco jump dimensions to Earth 38 to get Supergirl to come back to Earth Prime and help against an Alien invasion, they call in Green Arrow and the Legends of Tomorrow as well. Its pretty damn good.
Much better than the ****e DC movies they keep pumping out (BvS was dogshit, Suicide Squad was too, except for Margot Robbie in Hotpants

jungle is a sad affair. it cheapens the wannabes and cheapens us watching to see them tortured. It started as a charity wheeze but has morphed into modern day gladiators. lets just watch as people demean themselves by drinking blended testicles and bite through eyeballs... it is truly gut rot
x factor is a bizarre morphing of a talent show that was once big into a no talent variety show where entertaining the weeks audience is far more important than finding a supposed star. there were 3 really dull fillers who survived longer than needed cos there were at least 3 joke acts in it. the upshot is in a turn around from brexit a Finnish person is likely to win?
The final is a boygroup with two strangled cats and one guy who can sing just a bit... a guy who ought to just admit he likes dressing like a lesbian and wants to be in the beegees and a Finnish girl who ought to be in musicals... however none of this is anything new and while they claim mega stars the reality is a string of one hit wonders and manufactured pop groups that are all irrelevant to todays music scene.
Last week it was busted as the stare and this week some person i never heard of and then an awful lady gaga... even the stars coming on are awful now.
I had to endure one but managed to push the other out to the kitchen tv.

Part 1 is told in Supergirl
Part 2 in Flash
Part 3 in Arrow
finale of the story is in legends of Tomorrow.
So you have to watch all 4 to see the story.
Supergirl you could probably skip if you dont watch the show regularly, as its just the finale couple of minutes of episode 8 that leads into the crossover.
So you have to watch
Supergirl 2x8
Flash 3x8
Arrow 5x8
Legends of Tomorrow 2x7
In that order to get the whole story chronologically.
Its not a problem for the yanks because thats the order in which they aired, on the same channel.
In the UK not sure thats the case, so it will epicly **** things up.
Also if you dont watch all 4 shows (which, I cant believe, but there are idiots who dont) and say you only watch Flash, you will get to see Part 2 of a story and in the next episode of Flash it will be completely unrelated and it will confuse you. Those people need a smack though, for being ******s.

Its actually ******ed to expect anyone to watch a 12 year old girls show at all given the timing of it. You've just said arrow needs to be watched for one show

Supergirl is a completely different show to season 1, its on a new network and has new writers, and is nothing like trash these days. Though I could have forgiven people for giving up in season1, only reason I didn't is that I wanted to finish out the season, but glad I did, Season 2 has been awesome. Superman is now in it, the Luthor family too.
Arrow I have followed since season 1, ditto with the other shows, so its not a problem for me.
If you only watch The Flash, then just be prepared to be confused when you watch episode 8, it will start an epic alien invasion storyline that will magically be over and done with when you watch episode 9.

I watch flash and legends (and legends mainly for one character) so for what you said watch arrow epi 8 and thats just fine.
the thing is i expected there had to be some alien thing done due to the legends killing off the bad guy in season 1 who was left by time cops cos he stopped them
