The 1981 Lemon Lude scene that takes him out in his car to make a phonecall then return to the house to try and get Donny off the phone - Probably my favourite scene in a film ever, ****ing hilarious So funny, and so realistic
My top films in no particular order.... Pans Labyrinth The Usual Suspects Goodfellas Life is Beautiful City of God 12 Angry Men Angels with Dirty Faces Maltese Falcon Empire Strikes Back Aliens Executive Decision Can't reduce that down any further tbh. And I can't be bothered to think of comedies atm.
Goodfellas is simply brilliant. Easily makes my top films list. Everything about it is spot on, the casting, the acting, the directing, the character development and story telling. Everything about it hits the mark.
I didn't like that at all personally. Although, thinking of films 'True Romance' would be up there for me.
My top 5 would vary on depending how I feel tbh. If I feel a bit gangsta my top 5 would be very different to my mid blow-job top 5.
@Skylarker I imagine it's not everyone's thing but I just loved Bill Murray in it thought it was a top class performance and a very sad film.
Fear and Loathing is one of those films you either get or you don't. I loved it, and personally, at the time, thought it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. The scene where he takes the adrenachrome and Gonzo is in the background trying to trick Lucy on the phone that they are being hunted by the police is ****ing hilarious. *Stomps his foot on the floor* "Oh my god, its the door, they've come for us" *Knocks over food trolley* "OH MY GOOOOD, IT WAS DUKE, IT WAS DUUUUUUUUKE"
"You've gone completely ****ing sideways, it'll blast you straight through the wall, you'll be stone dead in 10 seconds. ****, they'll make me explain things!" I love that his concern isn't that his friend would die, but that he would have to explain to the authorities what had happened
Gonzo's paranoia and irrational hatred and distrust of Lacerda is hilarious too. Especially after the elevator scene with Cameron Diaz.
Good review here but spoilers. http://pitchfork.com/thepitch/1263-...great-music-drama-thats-actually-about-music/
