Its good news he's gone, but I think they need to go further. Whilst Evans is the prime example of everything thats wrong with new Top Gear he's not the only thing, just about all the other ingredients are bad. The format is old, done and dull The other presenters are frankly just as bad, not shouty and annoying but rather dull. The two unknown guys have zero personality, despite people saying they aren't bad, they are boring. The guest spots were too long and sycophantic Le Blanc... rather meh, take him or leave him. Start all over again, start something new, make the changes and don't just try to cram a load of new guys in the old style.
I get the feeling the trio have taken the main idea for change with them. From the title alone, I guessing that they are going to focus more and what they were doing in the TG specials. Picking a challenge and then touring a country, like the Burma special etc.
Agree again. When the trio parted company with TG, both parties should have shelved the old format and come up with something new. As annoying as done find Clarkson, he is very creative when it comes to this sort of thing. He'll blow the BBC out the water imo
I mean if you look at top gear it was comedy.. The good news everybody bit where may would be on about some dacia. The interviews were just Clarkson playing round,. I mean I am totally shocked at how badly the rally cross went. Who knew it rained in England eh? I agree. It was like a bad parody of top gear. No interactions, no real love for the guys. Like yesterday Harris did a bit in a nsx and basically looked like Wallace out of Wallace and gromit as the beeb desperately tried to show him left foot braking all the time.
Just watched the last TG and actually thought it was better. Still not good enough but better all the same. I like Le Blanc too. I think he's got better with each passing episode and could become a very good presenter.
Prob has. The reality is top gear was what was expected with evans and 7 bodies involved. Evans had no time to take 3 or 4 weeks out on an epic round the world trip. So they didn't do one. They then just got every fast car going and did individual reviews They spoiled the few challenges by bringing in others as well. You just couldn't get into any of then as a group
I think that a large chunk of TV watched by members of this forum is for the female content other than the quality programming. I propose an all hot female cast for the next season of Top Gear, this will increase the viewing figures. All sections of the programme will include the presenters in some sort of inappropriate costume. Viewing goes through the roof and I get loads of money for my idea.
You know... 3 20 somethings goofing about.. maybe washing cars in bikinis.... this idea has some merit.
I think so, I could save this show with my inspired idea. Nude time trial in an average price car. Visiting European brothels in a super car of your choice. I could knock out a whole series in about 10 minutes.
