Most of these are on my list of things 'to see'.
I've watched all of Dexter so far, and Arrested Development (a film of the latter is rumoured)
Started watching 24 too. Very late to the game I know.
Walking Dead, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Prison Break are others I've seen in their entirety.

I'd also recommend watching White Collar if you haven't already.

To anyone planning to watch Prison Break - watch the first 2 seasons only (absolutely top notch TV)

Series 3 and 4 are rubbish. The title kinda says that it shouldn't of gone on for as long as it did. But the first 2 seasons are excellent.

White Collar is an pretty awesome show. The typical crime investigation shows have been done over and over again. (Law and Order, CSI, NCIS ect.) But a show about White Collar crime is pretty awesome. Plus Neil is a bad ass. <ok>

Agree with that. Having watched the first 2 seasons though, you always feel you need to see the lot.

I think they could have probably merged seasons 1 and 2 into a single series, as the whole escape seemed to drag a bit.

That's also very true. I personally would feel the need to watch it all!

problem is for me it tarnished the whole series. And then they went and made another episode with an alternative ending - which made it even worse than it already was.

Don't let this put anyone off though as the first 2 seasons are incredible.

Watched Godfather Part II last night, was long but IT WAS WORTH IT!!

So intriguing, when the flashbacks of Vito's past came up I immediantely thought I recognised the character which played him, the calm yet cool attitude stuck me, then I felt it could only be one of three actors, Al Pacino, but he was already in the film, and I would have recognised him anyway. Marlon Brando, yet he was way too old to look how the young Vito did, it had to be.. Robert Di Nero. Al Pacino's story in the film meant it was all really revolving around him, the Vito storyline showed the contrast of the two young men, perfect. I did get confused with the storyline at times, but after a few minutes of thinking I caught up, amazing film.

I'll probably give it a few more days until I watch the next one, but I don't think Part II can be beaten in terms of brilliance.

The Godfather films are something that I just can't get into, I've tried a couple of times and usually like this type of film but they seem quite boring. I may get a bit of stick for this opinion.

Does anyone feel the same or feel like I do about any other "classics".

I loved the first 2 but not keen on the 3rd one.

I personally prefer 'Goodfellas' and 'Once upon a time in America'

Not a huge Goodfellas fan either but did like Once upon a time in America. Godfather 3 is generally regarded as not very good and 2 as the best one.

Does anyone like Shane Meadows films? Dead Mans Shoes is really good.

I'm with you Bluff liked all those. Do you get many Brit films over there, I mentioned Shane Meadows earlier, Mike Leigh is another great British film maker.

Not really but one of my favorite kind of hidden movies is Layer Cake, liked that one a lot. "We're going to the boatyard, someone's getting a slap!"

You ever seen There will be Blood? Apparently a top 250 film on IMDB but I thought it sucked, Daniel Day Lewis was in that as well, famous line of " If you had a milkshake and I had a milkshake, I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!"

Turned There Will Be Blood off after about hour and a half. Take a look at Dead Mans Shoes, top film great performance from Paddy Consadine.
