Mays is only in it for a couple of scenes totalling less than 10 minutes and playing an absolute **** so he's basically the best thing in it
I would pay good money to have Blockbusters back. No not the bloody programme, the DVD rental place. Netflix, A Prime, NowTV etc all do part of the job but I find them all limited. Sometimes you just want more of a choice. Or to choose something you havent seen in ages and can't. All BB needed to do was promote the online service more and market TV series better and they could/should have cornered the market.
I do miss going into a shop and picking up a DVD to rent, all those sites and apps are great but they do have limitations. Not that I've got anything to watch it on as my computer doesn't even have a ****ing disc drive anymore, haha. BB didn't adapt, they persisted with the bricks and mortar is all approach and it hit the ****ter for them, their own fault
Was going to say this...the layout is pish but if you fancy something specific just type it in...usually there and older stuff has cheaper rental price or a buy price just above new release rentals...
I had Prime about 6 months ago. I'll have another look at it. I remember the trouble was you pay a monthly subscription and then there were lots of movies where you paid extra on top iirc. And worse still it wasnt great for TV series so you needed a Netflix subscription to see everything.
I much prefer Netflix to AP I've tried both. It is a hassle though that you can't watch everything anymore you have to subscribe to about 10 different services to watch it all.
Thoughts on new films I've watched over this week: The Good Dinosaur 6/10- Enjoyable put a very simple tired story, lacked that Pixar magic and seemed to be more of a Disney film. The Animation however was exquisite. Mockingjay pt2 5/10- All that build up, 3 previous films for such a dull ending. A lesson not to split films in two. Steve Jobs 7/10- Good if a little repetitive, well acted and well written. Crimson Peak 5.5/10- Promising setup for a predictable and fairly lazy ending.
I know this question is a bit behind the times but did anyone watch "The Last Kingdom" on the BBC? Is it worth watching?
TWD very good but quite clear that a certain someone is not dead. I expect that was their intention after really trying to fool us with the previous character they tried that with.
I just ended up watching DC legends of tomorrow on catch up due to voice of UK which is dull ****e. I watched on tablet and did pilot part 2 and first 3 episodes. so..... Hands up... its not that bad. if anything its better than the flash which has become a bit of junk really. I thought the assassin girl is quite a good character and the two villians, despite talking really in an annoying accent are quite good. IF DC don't ruin them by making them nice and having a journey to being good then they've a bit of a mix there. there's a bit too much "development" where they are becoming heros hopefully this is limited to the weaknesses of the various flash filler characters are dealt with. The captain for instance has stepp up in a short peiord but the hawk girl is a whiny **** still
Watched Captain America: the Winter Soldier. Very average. Watched Olympus Has Fallen. Ludicrous. Watched Manhunter (with youngest daughter). Still superb. Cox > Hopkins
