There is an up and coming author called J J Grimshaw, who will shortly be releasing a novel called Eternal Empire, which I managed to read an advanced copy of, and was blown away. An epic story, especially for his first proper novel, it will be big I think.
that'd be the guy that did no country for old men? I think certainly the yanks do lack a genuine old west tv series these days. I'm sure some director could bend the bonanza stereotype and deal with the whole era in a warts and all fashion. that's certainly one route.

Yes, he's doing screenplays with varying degrees of success, Child of God was also made into a film and is worth a watch along with The Counselor. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2193215/ I loved it but am in the minority. The Border Trilogy done right would be some of the best TV ever.

there's a rather humorous semi religious fanatic book series by Paul Hoffman. It might be good. but then... i think it only works on the pages. its the left hand of god as a title.
Mortal Engines series? Watched silver linings of a playbook. Quite enjoyed it (as per usual with films nowadays). J lawrence definitely gone up in my hottest actress rankings.

Its scraping the barrel quite a bit at this point. movie 2 was a remake of movie one in many ways. movie 3 is ripping off another genre and wans't great IMO.
In terms of actresses I would say so yes, with Margot Robbie coming up second. With J Lawrence, like I said, its not just because she is fit as ****, but because she seems awesome, she farts and eats foot long subs, likes gaming and just seems genuinely awesome.
