The Warriors is the reworking of a classical story - Anabasis - written by a Greek Soldier and Historian called Xenophon about the exploits of a band of Greek mercenary soldiers hired to fight in a war over the Persian throne.
    Anabasis

For atmosphere - 28 Days Later...

The ending is pretty weak, I concede. Almost looked as if they'd realised they'd painted themselves into a corner and didn't know what to do next, hence the '...and then he woke up...' ending.

But throughout the film the atmosphere was good I thought.

As a kid I loved 'Battle beyond the Stars'...

The first 4 or 5 episodes are all about laying the foundations for the whole 5 seasons - You'll understand the importance of this when you get further into it.

Honestly though stick with it as it is truly immense once it really gets going.

Favourite sport TV/film was 'Bodyline'. A dramatised account of the infamous test series in Australia when we really gave it to those convict twats <ok>

Watched (part of) The Rum Diaries last night. I'm a big fan of the book and the author so was a bit worried that it would be rubbish but was kind of looking forward to it. I went into it with an open mind and was determined to enjoy it for what it was, I had heard it was pretty far removed from the book.

It is absolute crap 4/10 for me, it's boring and the dialogue is terrible specially when you consider that they could have used what was already written for them but decided to ignore it. It's now on the infamous list of films I have turned off before the end.

If you were thinking of watching it read the book instead.
