And I couldn't claim to be a movie fan if I had to "check" what year Star Wars and the Godfather came out :p

I miss the days when there were big films of the year, they were almost always great movies.

Now we have 40 **** films a month being made
Safe bet stupid animation moives and comedies all following the same script.
Also the regurgitation of **** remake after **** remake

No longer do they take risks trying to make something great. We're lucky to even get one excellent movie a year these days and many movies are just pure propaganda like <doh>
If I had a penny for every movie with Russian bad guys I'd be rich <laugh>

You have to find indie films to get any quality.

    Indeed.
One of those films thats pretty good, but I have no desire ever to watch again, as it is so depressing and twisted

Disappointed in him though. No mention of anything about a young (ish) Jennifer Connelly

    Yes very good

Ignore Luv, season 2 Asylum is also very good if not better than the first series in some ways I thought

Im on season 3 Coven and that is also pretty good so far, only on the 4th episode into it

Season 4 Freak Show looks good as well

just caught up to season 1 episode 18 of "the flash" for greez.

Ok so I had thought this flash malarchy was pretty weak fare but over last 3/4 episodes its actually taken on a bit of a better plot depth and twists that's made it a bit more interesting.

It is still smallville type american ****e but its now watchable to see what happens next.

Mind you just about everyone on the planet knows who the flash is by this episode so really there's just the lover interest left, must be a dim bird this one.

    .....................................

Caught up on criminal minds... is it season 10?

Last years was much much better. Its like they got a good writer in last year and he's ****ed off. its not great fare.

    ........................................
    Caught up on GoT

As per its filler and catch up stuff ahead of the real story. People moving about and coming to their new states of play. The youngest stark's not been seen living in a tree yet but just about everyone else has been no?

I think the spoilers for the rest are out but i am avoiding them as i know if i know the score i won't bother watching.

    ........................................
    Anyone watching "forever"

Its not brilliant by any stretch but our own Horatio hornblower is a ME in new york as a kind of combination of quincy ME and highlander

    again just watchable

    ......................................
finally yet more cop stuff. universal has how to get away with bad acting.. no sorry murder... Its really gone in the toilet. It was much better early as a court room type show but has just been subsumed by the murde rof the main character's husband and has lost its way as a cynical courtroom drama

    .....................................

you see the theme, lots of crime drama in our house as a compromise between fantasy shows and coronation street.

i think flash is more realistic than eastenders for example...

Neither here or there likes this.
  17. wHY HAVEN'T YOU WATCHED EPISODE NINETEEN...? (****ing caps lock, can't be arsed to re-type it)

Have you been watch Arrow or are you planning on watching Arrow? The link together and I hear they join forces much more in the final episodes too.

Yes, you cannot watch one without the other!!!
They intertwine a great deal now, which I like.

  19. Not surely I entirely agree. I think you can watch one without the other as they do run separate story lines but there will be the odd bit that doesn't make sense, it just wouldn't matter too much. Much better to be watching both though. Really enjoying both programmes ATM, setting it up for a big finish. Both have a "unstoppable" enemy to defeat too <laugh> Wonder if they'll link The Atom to them when they get round to giving him his own series too?

You watched any of the Daredevil series yet? I've seen the first three although I was dropping to sleep during the third (because I was knackered rather than it being ****) so need to re-watch it.

I'm watching this and it's pretty good, more violent than Arrow/Flash and darker, so far so good.
