Pretty much the same way I feel about the Walking Dead. The acting is adequate I suppose, the story lines drawn out, and the writing very hit and miss, but the make up is excellent, and who doesnt like to see people bash zombies heads in, very entertaining. But its no Shameless US, Sopranos, The Wire, Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire, which are all, for the most part, flawlessly written and acted.
Because its not meant to be. I do agree with the list you have there exluding shameless US. The real shameless was far better.
Nah. Its the one time the US remake has pissed on the original from a great height. The UK Shameless lost its way around the 3rd season and couldnt stop all its cast from bolting. When ALL the Gallagher kids had left by like season 6, it became farcical. The US version has such talent, William H Macy, Joan Cusack, Emmy Rossum. Have you watched past the first season? Because once it stops copying the UK Shameless' scripts and becomes its own thing, it really comes into its own.
For Gerrez - There's a series called Justified, wasn't for me but it's similar to Banshee and is rated more highly so you may want to try it.
