Yes. Better off with a mini PC. Does the same thing but more. Get a decent one though, not a cheap version like I did because the WiFi is **** lol
I don't see the point? My laptop is plugged into my TV with a HDMI lead so I can everything on the big screen, so what does this chromecast do differently?
I agree with luv, if you've got the tech it works best to direct connect. I think the issue is the many have either chrome books, or these new cloud lap tops which have zero hard drive space and no connectors either. For me If you can connect direct with a hdmi thats the absolute very best way..... save your bandwidth on wireless router for download. However I can see many have not the option.
It provides TV feed via streams so you don't have to pay for TV packages etc. Basically like freeview with additions. As I said, a mini PC is better as it makes the TV more like a smart TV. Plus you can then install something like Plex so you can link it to your PC, save you pissing about plugging and unplugging etc. Generally agree that its just another gadget though. I hardly use mine.
I want to use it with my phone. Got rid of the computer as i never used it. I can watch every game on my phone via a hdmi cable but wanted to make it wireless if possible. Was hoping it would work with acestream client or torrentstream. Ive also looked at just buying a sony tv and using screen mirror. Should work with my ps4 but sony omitted that functiom the twats.
Watched the new episode of the apprentice. That Irish lass is so ****ing fit. Them shots of her at the house in her pjs and then a tight green top with that rack. 'kin hell. New trailer for Mad Max reboot looks proper good an all. Badaaaaaaaaass
