There was a series a couple of years ago showing how the Titanic was built which I found quite interesting. Edit: I have just tried to find it on youtube but couldn't, plenty of others about though.
Falling Skies losing some of its punch with me lately not sure why though, The Strain looks decent and wanting a bit more back story as it seems plenty is there, True Blood has one more episode left!! ( Fan girl time for me), and Tyrant is getting juicy now.
Bluff - is True Blood any good? I see it's HBO, and 9/10 HBO series are worth a watch. I ask this as I have it, or at least most of it on my laptop, just haven't given it a go. I did watch about 20 mins of episode 1 but had to go out and never got round to starting it again.
my problem will ALL of this "disaster" or "Apocalypse" type shows is the length of story. For example falling skys... how long can the bloody sky continue to fall in before the world ends or they all survive it? Its like lost... ok series one you survive but then... oops they fianlly get of island story over... so some stupid stupid stupid DOH type addition is made. Take this dome thing... its basically muck IMO What I like to see is ok you've a cancept. tell it, make the money, get out. end on a high.
I have watched True Blood from the beginning. The first three seasons were very good, then it took a dip in seasons 4 and 5, 6 was an improvement and 7 has been great so far. So its been a little hit and miss, but always perfectly watchable, if just for the amount of naked women in it. Plus Jessica
Haven't watched the second one yet. Liked the first one, but it was the sense of claustrophobia that gave it its edge, I am sensing that is missing entirely for the sequel.
Yeah it's a very diffrent film trying to add a more complex plot and failing miserably I really don't understand the good ratings it gets. The first was intense and the brilliantly complex fight scenes came thick and fast but in 2 you are left waiting and then the fight scenes are all too short.
Gave up on The Raid 2 in the end as couldn't handle the dubbing and subs Band of Brothers again next... been several years since I watched it, it's ageing well, will be a classic in thirty, forty years time, has that kind of feel about it. Sort of thing I'll watch when a pensioner and the kids will ask 'What's this **** Dad? Put something good on.' Damien Lewis is awesome too.
Hmmm, it has good ratings everywhere but I only got about ten minutes in till the corny American voice actors effed me off enough to dispose of it
There's not enough talking in the first one for you to notice it's just an hour and a half of fighting, I can't understand the ratings that the new one gets really, really don't get it. I was compelled to add my own comments on IMDB for only the 2nd time ever.
6 seasons I think of about 13 episodes. It is pretty good, but no where near Walking Dead, Boardwalk, Wire etc but I think worth it. Glad it is coming to the end though, was running out of room a bit.
