Off Topic The Official:TV-Show-Movie-Games Thread

Been watching a show called Banshee. Worth a look if you like your graphic scenes of violence mixed with sex & religious beliefs all bundled up(Amish, Native American Indians,etc).

 

I may take a look at that.

 

I didn't love it and thought the obvious Oscar scene at the end was silly.
7/10 for me

 

All I was thinking during that scene was "the guy wants a hug!"

 

It was a bit much.

 

I don't know. If you'd been kidnapped by pirates then I think you would be in a bit of a state afterwards. I thought that scene drilled home the aftermath of such an event. you would be in shock, tired, happy, scared, etc all rolled into one.

 

True detective series 1 is over and it was very good, only 8 episodes so a bit short but they will do well making the second series better than that. The American networks really have made some great shows in the last few years.

Thor is good and not too serious, Dallas Buyers Club if you want serious.

There is a new series of the Dusk Till Dawn movie. Pilot episode wasnt too great but it may get better as the producer is the same guy as the film.

 

Watched the latest installment of 300(Rise of An Empire). Id recommend 'not' going to the cinema and just downloading it for a rainy evening

 

Went to bed.

True Detective marathon spoiled by the wife deciding not to go to London for the weekend.

 

Better shag her for that type of mess up!! TD was awesome, so short but very good stuff.

Did anyone see this on the BBC it was mad.

 

Is this any good or is it worth ignoring?

 

Just watched Anchorman 2; good film but not as good as the first which I thought was awesome. 7/10
