That's series 1 of the Wire done, pretty darn good!

Thanks to Sky on Demand, I think I'll make a start on series 2 tonight...

When I was at my mates last weekend, we watched 'Man of Steel'. I issue a warning to you all who haven't seen this. Avoid it like the ****ing plague. It really is a heap of steaming, fetid excrement.

I agree, and I ****ing loath ****e comic movies, thought it was decent enough tbh.

I literally cannot bring myself to watch any of the xmen films again, utter crap kiddy stuff for me.

I did see "end of watch" recently.... lead up to a decent watch and totally ****ing crapped out the end, proper **** ending I have to say.

have you seen "lovely bones"? that for me was a bit like that "end of watch", good film totally rushed/****ed the ending, I won't spoil in case you haven't seen it but one thing really ruined the lovely bones for me.

    Yeah that was ok.

I've go Elisyum (spelling) to watch tonight and Last Days on Mars.

Best films I've watched lately have been a couple of comedy dramas, Stuck in Love and The Way Way Back.

    There are 3 Things:

The first was in 1951 "The Thing From Another World"
The second was John Carpenters excellent 1982 film
The third was a 2011 release directed by Matthijs van Heijningen

There are actually thre 'Thing-related' films. The original was called 'The Thing From Another World'. It bwas black-and-white and very good, but dated.

Next came 'John Carpenter's The Thing'. An absolute masterpiece starring several of his favourite actors, including, of course, Kurt Russell as RJ MacReady.

The 2011 remake is utter gash <ok>
