I certainly wouldn't release it til the rings of power is through. I would agree season one wasn't quite there. It was a bit all over the place The witcher for me is the one to watch next.
Gangs of London decent so far, bloke who did the film The Raid makes it so the action scenes are top notch. Spammed this thread.
I'm on episode 6 it's already far fetched but kinda enjoyable. Seems a little different to the usual TV shows and the fight scenes are superb proper weight to them.
I dont like the character so far, needs to make his mind up second half of this season now. Mainly its inconsistency. This is many years over 5 episodes but he can't make up his mind if he is a psychopath or a nice uncle. Probably losing the joust actually damaged the rep but a few shows later he ****s up a war then next show he single handedly wins it when told help is coming
It was faithfully based off short stories so was all over the place in timing, jumping between different timeframes to set the scene is a very confusing way Individually the shows were good but the flow through.was ****e.
Thats the character though. He's impetuous, proud, hot headed and erratic. But at the same time smart, calculating, brave, daring and charming. He's inconsistent because he's inconsistent. He's also supposed to feel like he's generally untouchable because he's a Targaryen (and his brother is a fairly weak King), so just does what he wants most of the time.
That might makes sense but equally then he hands over the egg just cos so he feels like he's thus far not been willing to actually push it further.
Makes sense to me. He steals the egg in a fit of moody impetuousness when he feels slighted and then comes up with some marriage nonsense to get attention. And he was willing to escalate it until Rhaenyra turns up giving him the attention he wanted. Whilst he does the unpredictable things he knows he can rely on his charm and family name to escape as long as he doesn't go too far. Think everyone is looking for a Lannister/Bolton type villain but I don't think there is going to be one.
It's taken them 5 shoes to get to the point now where its chum in the water. I am hoping this now explodes as they've set up a three way for the throne
Big time jump coming for the next episode. The young lasses are done from now on, so the main plot should start moving forward, we've just been having the background for the first 5. Must admit I kind of know where its going to end
That's prob the issue, there nothing that they can have a big finish with or tease will they won't they? Kind of same as star wars Andor. So ****ing boring and slow.
I agree, Smith is doing a fantastic job imo you really don't know which way the character is going to go. He could be the most evil character of GOT yet or become the hero through some kind of redemption story. It's interesting at the moment if not spectacular but so was season 1 of the original.
