Bird of Prey: 4 (5 at best)/10 Basically loud music over crap action scenes of women. Story is a absolue mess and Margot Robbie is just plain irritating, why people think she's a good Harley Quinn is a mystery cause its a crap portrayal. Said is before but DC (and Warner Bros) keep messing up their attempts at films. Marvel must be pissing themselves with laughter, as DC the company with the better known roster can't get their **** together. They should cut their losses with this 'Verse' they're trying to do, cancel any planned films and start again clean with new blood. But instead they keep ploughing ahead with crap to average films.
I would say just about right 4.5/10 It was a bad effort at aping deadpool breaking the 4th wall. I thought ol' margo is a decent Harley. Suicide squad was OK and that. I just found it slow and silly and couldn't make its mind up whether she could or couldn't look after herself. She ended up basically kicking everyone around having being weak in the set up of other characters. It was deadpool2 just done worse. (And deadpool 2 was not half as good as deadpool)
Started watching... Alex Rider.. on Prime thought the concept would mean it was **** but actually decent enough, easy watching.
Great series. Maybe a few crap episodes in there, but generally strong throughout and has a great ending too
Thoroughly enjoying The Terror on iPlayer. How the **** is it an American-made series? Ian Hart is superb in it, especially as he's a bitter BS from Knotty Ash. He's also bezzy mates with David Morrissey, who's a massive Red. He played Rabbit in One Summer alongside Morrissey
I'll take that in the spirit in which I think it was meant Watched the final two episodes last night. Excellent
Any watched Young Sheldon? Not a massive fan of the Big Bang Theory and only seen various episodes but really enjoying Young Sheldon.
So I watched the Synder version of Justice League. Well its alot better than the cinema version and the story makes more sense, the CGI is also for some random reason alot better. However it still has its down points: Its so ****ing long, 4hrs! and takes ages to get going, I mean the first hour and a half pretty much nothing has happened and acts a catch up and backstory for the characters. Also it has the classic Synder failings of too many slow-mos and stretched out scenes of nothingness with music playing over the top. But its biggest failing is the same as it has always been, the movie is too soon in the series. Because the film comes before half the characters have had their own stand alone films there has to be a ton of back story and explanation. The Motherboxes story also need a load of explaining. All this means the film has to be 4hrs and still feels like there needs to have been more to really give the characters and story the impact they need. Frankly its like reading the first book in a series and then jumping to the 5th or 6th book and wondering what you've missed that would explain whats actually going on, and having to read wikipedia to fill in the missing pieces. DC should have got to this film after they'd done more films and been able to build up to it, ala Marvel and the Infinity Stones storyline.
Just got this off the interweb for the missus as she likes all the superheroes films so is it worth a watch or what?
Yes, but be prepared for the long haul. Its alot better than the version they released to the cinema. My issues are more about the 'World building' DC have attempted, rather than the film. But thats not to say its a perfect film, I'd say its a 7.5/10
