Watched s10 e1-8 of TWD over last couple of days. First time in ages there was a twist I didn't see coming (but in hindsight, I've no idea how I didn't see it!). Been really good and love that the best bad guy to date is looming a return. Can't wait to watch e9-16 now.
Currently coming to the end of first season of Outlander,Decent enough but too many love/sex scenes,she's had her tits out every episode so far and now not adding anything to plot except titillation. (pun intended ).
The Witcher 7.5/10 swings between brilliant and utter ****e quite often. It's certainly worth more seasons but needs to have a clearer path of story telling.
Tried watching Once upon a time in Hollywood,me and missus stuck it out half way through and gave up on it.Just don't get why it gets rave reviews?
I find Tarantino very hit or miss these days. Enjoyed 'Hateful Eight' Not fussed by 'Django' Hated 'Bastards'
I can see how this could have been good but judging by episode 1 it's maybe 80% twaddle and 20% actually arresting television and did just seem to meander and have a very convoluted approach to narrative
The Mandalorian is excellent The final Star Wars film is pretty disappointing, looks good and has lots of spectacle and some decent acting, but lacks in all other departments
I enjoyed the Witcher. I get that it felt alittle disjointed and some of the storylines were abit naff at times with the different timelines, but I gather that's because this 1st series is based on 2 collections of Short stories (back story) rather than the actual main Witcher books. I expect 2nd series will be far more focused and therefore better. I don't see the similarities between GoT though. More like LotR.
Well they introduced a character I hated more than all the family, with the actor guy. Only rivaled by the photographer imo The metoo stuff seemed a big of an over reach, was enjoying it till that point. The future stuff didn't get interesting till she found out her about her mother and then sort of just fizzled out. The last couple episodes were decent though. Overall, should have stopped after S1. I ca see why they took it further as S1 was sucessful but the lackluster S2 should have told them to stop.
