At the end of season seven, they actually said it was only the beginning of the story and they'd got enough ideas for another twenty years
Agreed. The writers said recently that they intentionally wrote it in a way that there was no main character meaning in could carry on even if star actors or actresses left. They failed!
Thing is, Rick isn't even that good a character he just drives the show. Rick dead or not, TWD should be coming to an end. 8 series, soon to be 9, is alot and comes a point where it just repeats the same story lines, there is only so much you can do with any concept.
Really can't see Daryl being a leader either. I was actually looking forward to a 'civil war' but just want them to end it now
You have to think that after nearly ten years the world would either be all dead or would have resolved itself. Ffs world war two took less time
With some shows you can just decide to end it there. For example House of Cards, the last episode was a point where you could walk away and call that the end even though there will be more. With TWD there's always a cliff hanger, nothing ever ends.
Going to watch The Outsider this weekend, mixed reviews but I fancy it. @DirtyFrank I think you slated it?
It's Leto I have issues with mostly... the dozen or so let's pause on his tortured soul expression ****e.... And with the likes of Netflix there's no need for this "white man placed in foreign culture" ****e anymore.... just make a film about the yakuza....set it post war by all means etc
I've seen reviews saying similar and some saying it's good. I've got to the point where I think I might enjoy it as I'm going in eyes open.
It's not the worst thing I've ever watched by any means .... it wasn't like I felt I'd wasted 2 hours of my life or anything lol
Unsolved looks good on there and there's a couple of decent films coming soon. Wind River Sweet Virginia Denial GLOW season 2 as well.
