Just finished watching pulp fiction. I can see why people say it's a classic. Very enjoyable watch and some cracking lines. Acting in it is pretty top notch.

    9/10

The only thing missing in it was some fit birds.

I never liked Tarantino. His films are always full of boring dialogue that has nothing to do with the plot. Pulp Fiction is probably his best work but overall he produces some boring works.

Django is pretty good as is Reservoir Dogs. Rest can be a bit hit and miss, or to bloody long!

Only got through like 15 minutes of Inglorious bastards and put it down.

Only half watched Django when my cousin was watching it and i was gaming on my pc.

Didn't really like kill bill volume 1 or 2 that much although i was younger and was far more boring than i am now.

I wasn't bored at all with Pulp Fiction though.

    Sin City was okay.

Sin City isn't really a Tarantino film, he only directed a few scenes. Plus he had no hand in writing it, like all his other films.

I was bored rigid by Bastards, there's a scene of them sitting around a table speaking German for about 15mins and it has almost nothing to do with the story, christ that was dull. And then there was the end which was just ludicrous, almost as bad as the Blazing Saddles ending.

Django was ok although too long, but again with a stupid ending and SLJ character was annoying.

    I actually liked Hateful Eight

Yeah, i think as he's gotten older he's just not been the same actor (or maybe its the roles he plays).

SLJ was brilliant in Pulp Fiction though.

Really liked John Travolta in that too and Winston Wolf is great haha

The problem with Tarantino is that everything he does is compared to Pulp Fiction and that's such a hard act to follow.

True Romance before it was also great and Kill Bill 1 was superb, take yourself outside and pull the trigger if you think otherwise.

Jackie Brown was a superb film, Hateful Eight was also good.
Django was a very good film Inglorious not as good but both still better than a lot of the crap that's churned out by the film industry. There's so much hype everytime he releases a film that it's doomed before it starts.

I think you have to go into a Tarantino film with no expectations and enjoy the film for what it is, there you'll find a very good film, maybe not great but very good.

sorry i thought this was the cheese thread again...

    leaks... oh err.

No we all knew that it was a HBO spanish guy who got the sack that leaked that episode and that the final show was an empty threat.

Should be a good show and worth getting up early monday morning to watch. I just get the feeling somehow that the cataclysmic event that will occur is a dead dragon burning the wall down ending all those silly theories about dragons under walls and bran breaking it by passing through etc.

There is a grand set piece discussion to be had and all that and god knows what that will end up as but it is all about setting up the final battles

HOPEFULLY.... 7 shows left now... we see littlefinger getting knifed by sansa. i'm sure thats the test arya has given her. I think that would tie up the thing on that end nicely and we are left with

    jamie siding with who?
    cercei getting hers next season
jon introducing the new queen the northern louts.
    Epic battle.
    and so forth.

Really the little finger stuff smells to me like a guy who has to go now as he's filled in time nicely for us and did his part but its perfectly set up for his ending at the hands of sansa. but who knows....

I don't think any of those fan theories will play out although there has been a lot of fan service in this season

Read a script that purported to be the finale and seemed legit with several key things happening that are nowhere near as high fallutin' as the Bran/Night King, Jon/Night King, wall dragon theories

    • Big meeting between all the main players at the Dragon Pit where they show the wight to Cersei and try to convince her **** is real. Initially she says she'll help by providing an army but then later turns her back on them all still hoping to secure power for herself saying she hopes NK kills all her enemies for her. Jaime disowns her and rides off towards the north
    • Arya executes Littlefinger for treason/treachery, slitting his throat on Sansa's orders in front of all the northern lords
    • Boatsex happens
    • Flashback to Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark as Sam and Gilly reveal Jon's true parentage to him
    • Night King and his army attack the wall at Eastwatch burning a hole through it with the ice dragon so that the army can swarm through
