Watched a surprisingly decent film last night. Wild. True story starring Recce Witherspoon (very good) and Laura Dern (underused).
Watched Love & Mercy on Netflix @Red Hadron Collider Superb film 8.5/10 Such a mad story. Per Sounds is truly a great album, I appreciate it even more now.
Some of the best stuff ever made really ... it's got the scope and scale and grandness (in a northern working class English way, as much as that's kind of possible) of classical tragedy at times in many of the storylines through the combination of the personal stories and the political and cultural changes in the background or at the forefront alongside the stories of each character. The music choices are excellent as well
Been watching this Eden thing on C4 There's some absolute ****ing ****s on this Turns out the experiment was a total failure in the end due to said ****s being ****s
I always find it amazing when it's not mentioned in amongst the top TV shows. It is that good and better than so much of the US stuff. All down to personal taste but it is in my top 5 TV shows ever.
Deffo up there It's very British/English in a lot of very specific ways so maybe doesn't go across the ocean so well I mean, I know they adapted Shameless but that was different, more caricaturish in nature and the comedy element probably helped
Yeah I know what you mean but it's been interesting seeing what happened and how it totally caved in, load of twats
Yet we watch Breaking Bad or The Sopranos and get it? We pander to the Yanks too much just let them watch it I'm sure they'd get it.
Anyone see the last in the Planet of the Apes trilogy ?? That's one of the best trilogies ever made imo ... really ****ing good
