Also according to Ben Jacobs (take it with a bit of salt though guys) Elland Road and Thorp Arch being bought too.
Ross and Mackail Smith upfront, Gradel and Boyd on wings, Diouf CAM, Rudy CDM. The potential that could have. Wow
Congratulations on your takeover(never saw that coming), i'm just glad it happened after we beat you, as now you have GFH Capitol at the helm you are going to be truely invincible.
Leeds majority shareholder Ken Bates, the former Chelsea owner, will remain as chairman until the end of the season and will then become club president. AND SAID he is looking forward to having more time off
He's only chairman until the end of the season, and President is a ceremonial position. He'll have no shares and therefore no power.
This is good news about your new investors, am I right in thinking your association with Bates is about to come to an end?
only joking he doesn't own GFH but I wouldn't put it past him haha hes staying on as president but that doesnt give him any power and I only found out who the last president was when he died so no real position at the club
bates staying on as president is his pathetic way of trying to grab on to some gratification for "what he's done for us", which in a phrase is "**** all". Him staying on is likely to kill any chance of a honeymoon period, as people will remain skeptical and the transitional period will mean a "slow arousal" of fans back to Elland Road and to their former selves. We can expect the apathetic atmosphere to continue, as well as the poor, unfocused and uninterested performances by players.
I'm not normally. I just do not trust ken bates further than I can throw him. This stinks. This really stinks of something. I remain cautiously optimistic, but I'll have to see how the fans react, how the players react, and how decisions are made from now on before I'm fully on board. Just remember that bates being bates might start slagging off more and more people in his program notes just to start legal cases that he can charge the club for. He is still chairman after all.
