I thought we were going down in January, but my optimism has been getting the better side of me since Harry went.
I honestly think that even if he kept us up in style now, stars-in-his-eyes Tony will see a bigger name available and replace him. He won't be able to resist the temptation. I think he's a sociopath.
Really? A person with anti-social, sometimes criminal, tendencies who doesn't care what others think of him/her? I think the reverse, he is completely driven by what others think of him. Usually the person in front of him.
That's not really how sociopathy is defined and even it's more appropriate definitions are often misinterpreted. Regularly breaks or flaunts the law Constantly lies and deceives others Is impulsive and doesn’t plan ahead Can be prone to fighting and aggressiveness Has little regard for the safety of others Irresponsible, can’t meet financial obligations Doesn’t feel remorse or guilt A person doesn't have to have all of these traits. Also, these definitions can be interpreted in different ways. Breaking the law doesn't have to mean the legal system of a country/region. It can mean the rules in a smaller community or generally accepted way of behaving in a certain field, business or community. And I wasn't being intirely serious when I say that he's a sociopath. But I'd say he has some of those traits, in one form or another. Basically, a person with psycho/sociopathy has a strong desire to win over others by outsmarting them, with a disregard for how he/she does it. Such a person therefore takes big gambles because the prize is so great to them. They are often tempted into decisions that could go either extremely well or extremely badly.
I always thought a sociopath was someone that was incapable of relating to other people to a point where they have zero empathy and no understanding of how there actions go beyond normal scocial boundaries.
I wouldnt be suprised if Hull City ( my team ) dont get another point or a bloody goal ! So thats one team going down. I also think Sunderland are doomed. Finish above Leicester or Burnley and you will stay up.. In my irrelevant opinion.... Though i hope i am wrong
Thanks for your view. I don't wish relegation on anyone. I just wish football was fairer and more back to roots. I don't care about England competing with the rest of the world I just want it to be a proper sport again. A bit of a side note there... I've got a feeling you're right about us needing to simple finish above one of the other two promoted teams. A point against Chelsea would have helped a lot. We deserved three! What's going wrong at Hull?
Honest opinion CITYfiley...I know exactly how you feel..I have had the same feeling re my team (QPR),.....but one unexpected point/one stroke of luck changes your whole outlook. I was happy after our away trips (thinking we would stay up) but the crunch on Sunday and now I am back down again to reality There is many a roller coaster ride still to go. If Bruce can eak out an unexpected point or two things will change, same for us...same for the other 4/5 teams. all to play for...and it will come down to a bit of passion, a bit of skill and I truly expect a BIG stroke of luck
Good to see an honest point of view ............. well done, mate. For the record, if our team stays up, I hope yours does too!
I agree with you but fear that we won't finish above either of those two. Leicester's two late winners will have galvanised them and Burnley's fixture list isn't that bad. My only hope is their lack of goals.
Boxing Day against Arsenal, Knew something was wrong based on the lack of tactics/performance level/fitness levels and being totally bunch of plums. We lacked fight against 10 men and it really wound me up sadly.
We cant score. We play players out of position. Our midfield can only pass sideways or backwards. The name change cropping up all the time wont have helped Jelavic being out through injury to often and for the rest of the season. ( our best scoring option ) But i will be at all our remaining games and i will be going next season as usual. Relegation isnt the end of the world is it.
Unfortunately Filey, I don't think you are wrong. The games that you have left are just too difficult. If we had your remaining games I would say we were down, and we are playing well. Good luck anyway. Hopefully we can both pull a rabbit out of the hat.
fair post CF i wouldn't want any team to go down except (Chelsea and Villa because`Villa deserve to). I really think its now going to be either Leicester/QPR/Burnley/Hull/Sunderland. TBH I said after our first game of the season that your team would be mid table, how wrong i was. You have a tough run in as do Sunderland but Villa proved on Saturday that can mean nothing. One thing is for sure i don't expect us to win at Liverpool. All the times i have been we have lost so i have decide to give it a miss. I won't wish you good luck in your games but i won't wish you bad luck either. For me we just need to win our games.
