So who here has pretended he's a decent human being? Who has said anything at all to suggest he's model professional, or even anything close to professional?

You seem to be hung up on the term Everyone.

Are you just waiting for someone to defend him, at which point I guess you'll use that one person to condemn the whole Liverpool support. Then according to you that one person will represent EVERYONE.

Still don't think he bit him.

looks like he moved his head into his shoulder so not sure why all th fuss to be honest. Suarez always comes across kind and nice in interviews so doubt he really did it.

People just want to have a go at him cos they're jealous he's so good and plays for us.

You're talking nonsense and, again, trying to put words in my mouth ....... it won't work.

Only those who defend him, or pretend it didn't happen so there's nothing to defend, should be condemned.

    Like this, as an example,

"Hmmm just seen that and there is no proof that it was a bite.

He put his head into his shoulder and pushed forward.

No way can tell for definite if it was a bite though."

    Or,

"No different to punching a player and that isn't a ban from all football."

    FIFA to investigate Suarez
    Last Updated: 21:18 24/06/14

FIFA has announced it will investigate the latest allegations of biting against Luis Suarez with Liverpool's Uruguay striker likely to face a lengthy ban if found guilty.

Suarez appeared bite Italy's Giorgio Chiellini towards the end of Uruguay's 1-0 win, leaving teeth-marks on the defender's shoulder.

A FIFA spokesperson said: "We are awaiting the official match reports and will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter."

FIFA's disciplinary code sets a maximum ban of 24 matches or two years, but the longest ban in World Cup history was eight games for Italy's Mauro Tassotti for breaking Spain's Luis Enrique's nose in 1994 with an elbow.

Suarez has twice been banned for biting opponents - for 10 matches in 2013 for his clash with Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic and in 2010 he was given a seven-game ban while playing for Ajax for sinking his teeth into PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal.

FIFA's disciplinary code allows action to be taken retrospectively via video evidence even if the incident has been seen by the referee.

Chiellini tried to show referee Marco Rodriguez the mark but no action was taken, and he believes the authorities must now look back at what happened and punish Suarez.

    'Ban him'

He told Sky Italia: “Suarez has bitten me and the referee saw it, but then there is the need to have the courage to take decisions.

“We will see if there is the courage to utilise the TV images to ban him.”

Uruguay manager Oscar Tabarez insisted he had not seen the incident but claimed that Luis Suarez "is the target of certain sections of the press".

"I would like to see it first," said Tabarez. "If it happened then I think the referee had to have seen it first. I didn't see the incident and I don't want anyone to speak for me about it.

"Suarez, in addition to errors that he may have made, is a target for certain sections of the media."

Tabarez faced repeated questions about Suarez's bite, but refused to criticise his star man.

"If we believe people are attacking him, as has happened in this press conference, then we're going to defend him," he said.

"He's a vital player, a very important person to the group."

    Severe criticism

Jim Boyce, FIFA’s vice president, told Sky Sports News that the incident must be investigated by world football’s ruling body.

“I have watched the incident several times on television,” said Boyce.

“There is no doubt Luis Suarez is a fantastic footballer but once again his actions have left him open to severe criticism.

“There is no doubt that FIFA must investigate this incident very seriously and take whatever action is deemed necessary.”

Italy boss Cesare Prandelli - who went on to resign - confirmed he had seen the bite marks.

He said: "I didn't see Suarez biting him but I saw the bite-marks on his shoulder but the referee's assistants were so busy they didn't see anything.

"It's a shame, it's a real shame that it turned out like this."

It's no worse than someone comparing him to Harold Shipman! <doh>

Perhaps a bit of perspective is required. Harold Shipman is far too harsh and 'silly sausage' is too gentle, why not split the difference and agree that he's a 'total rapscallion of a cur'?

    <ok>

I didn't do that, I said he was a horrible little indefensible cheat ... plus there's little proof that Shipman was that good a doctor.

Nothing about domestic/european ban though. The 24 games/2 years is at international level. If you can link up the quote/article from your original link that would be appreciated.
