in reality 9 games for Uruguay means:

a) they are going to struggle in next round and will fail at Qf stage

b) he will then miss another 7 international games after WC... probably? that would be the guts of a 8-9month ban anyway...

c) he misses the world cup he is at his prime for..

I think that does punish Suarez and Uruguay quite a bit.. I still think it should be a bit longer given the fact that after the WC there's not anything demanding on for them.

4 months seems arbitrary slightly. why 4 motnhs, why not 3 or 6... why 4 you must ask.

Well if Uruguay are smart they'll arrange 9 meaningless friendlies in that 4month period and get the ban over quickly.

Yep, pretty much what I was thinking.

 

I was making reference to us having a good start last season so couldn't include ricky but yes, I agree about sticking him in.

 

Medal yes, as he's already played this WC. Collect it: Yes, its not a stadium ban just a playing ban.

But its not going to happen, Uruguay are so average without him.

 

The ban means he can't be involved in any football activity whatsoever, he can't even enter a stadium

 

At least Ricky will get a lot more games now, hopefully he'll bang in a load for us

 

So can someone break this down for me? I have no objection whatsoever to a harsh punishment, but as has been said, why the **** is our club being so harshly penalised. That's just not ****ing on. FIFA had better pay us, or the Uruguay FA. What a load of bollocks
