?

What should Liverpool do now?

  1. Sack Rodgers now and get Klopp ( or someone else)

  2. Sack Rodgers at Christmas and get Klopp ( or someone else)

  3. Sack Rodgers in May and get Rafa

  4. Keep Rodgers, I'm brain dead and think he will still turn it around, as soon as Joe Allen is fit.

  5. MITO is a bottom feeding man whore.

  1. Its the lack of fight and lacklustre performances we are repeatedly seeing (bar 2013-14) that are the issue. We're not seeing anything new this year, it's the same stuff being served up.

However, to put a more positive spin on it, we were missing three key players at the weekend; Coutinho, Hendo and Studge (was tempted to put four with Flanno but resisted). Also, if Sakho was reintroduced then we'd have a very good team IMO.

I did have sympathy for Brod but that is the one thing that's changed for me, he's destroying his own reputation through pure stubbornness!

No doubt we have one or two issues at the back at the mo,but the re-introduction of Hendo for instance will provide more cover for our back four.
Maybe by giving you're opponents more to think about at their end of the park will reduce pressure on our defence also.
It's BR's head on the block,so he has to make some big calls to improve us in defence. Get Sakho in for starters. I've said before about the LB situation
not being resolved aswell. Gomez looks like a good signing but he's a kid and shows his inexperience with every game. He's a CB,not a left back

I think it's more fundamental than that. Lovren and Skrtel just don't look a solid pairing, and the former has got far too many errors in him. Mignolet isn't helping either as looks as nervy as hell.

Agree about Gomez, he looks an excellent prospect, but he's no LB and the fact that he's right footed doesn't help either! That simple fact cost you a crucial goal on Saturday as he lead into that tackle with the wrong leg.

Same with expectations. United a football has been so bad last 2 years that even a glimmer of one passage of good play means they dominated the game <ok>

  8. Get Hendo, Flanno and Studge fit, get them (and Coutinho) back in the side, move Gomez into the middle and bring Sakho back in and switch back to the diamond formation...

    Migs
    Clyne - Gomez - Sakho - Flanno
    Hendo - Can - Milner
    Coutinho
    Benteke - Studge

I have to say i disagree with Jimmy about Benteke. I said it before and i will say it again. He's a decent player. He's already got 2 in 5 and is your top scorer. He's been isolated up front and he has managed to hold the ball up on occasions. The issue with Pool right now is that the midfield is so pedestrian. Lucas/Can/Milner even Hendo with some respect are all workers and not creative. Only coutinho is the danger of putting a decent throughball/dribbling past a player.

Firmino might be he's on the wing. Ibe's been terrible and no one is really putting any crosses in.

I said during the transfer window that Milner is a hard worker and not creative enough for you guys. This is the sort of guy Chelsea needed ( we don't have enough solid workers).

Think you absolutely need a change in manager though. Rodgers is well past his sell by date

Brendan got bored during the game on Saturday but thrilled the crowd at O T with a marvellous impersonation of Tommy Cooper.

.......and then I reaslised - he was mourning the death of his career

Let's be honest, until Liverpool fans start to vote with their feet (and wallets), FSG won't do anything.

Once we have empty seats in successive games, FSG will take a quick look at the extra capacity we're building and think 'oh f*ck'.......

Only then will you see action.........Am guessing that most of the next several games have been sold out in advance.....so we will probably have to wait as we did under Roy.

  16. Very much agree. I do think this idea that he requires cross after cross is a bit of a red herring though. Sure, he likes a cross but he can do other stuff too. Stick another player alongside him with pace and skill on the ball and it would give the opposition defences more to worry about; drop deep and Benteke can cause problems, push up and his partner in crime can exploit the space. Football is about having options when attacking to make you unpredictable. ATM we are extremely predictable and easy to defend against.

  17. Still isolating Benteke, Milner won't be played on the right and why the hel would you want to see Toure in the side? He's worse than Lovren!!!

  18. So basically the same formation and team <doh>

Or did you just miss the "switch back to the diamond formation" part of my post...? <laugh>

How long until we see 3421 again?

    Mignolet
    Can Skrtel Loven
    Clyne Henderson Milner Ibe
    Firmino Coutinho
    Benteke
As I learn more about Rodgers I see more and more false ego and more and more cringable techniques like Gerrard and these texts.
