thanks, i shall watch with interest tomorrow.. its all about fitness but there is something in the role that he's shwoing that suggest rodgers has been asking him to play deeper and i like it.
re pacheco... it is light years from the displays he put in last preseason for sure. Lets see what happens. I'd have thought he last year was made for a loan to a prem club (norwich) but the loan to spain was a disaster. I wonder what will happen with him.... he wnet form u19 spanish star and on the edge with rafa to sub in u20s with spain and serious decline with us. Athletico didnt take him so really he's either going to leave on a free or interest rodgers i suppose. it'll be interesting to see what happens here and i guess a europa squad list might just tell us.

I rarely have an issue with Jose defensively but his distribution can be so poor at times. Definitely an area he needs to work on (one of my pet hates is professional footballers who can only use one foot to pass the bloody ball ).
Looking forward to the game tomorrow Hopefully we'll be able to field a stronger team and we'll also be able to see Borini in action
I would like this team to start: --------------------Gulasci ---McLoughlin Agger Sama Enrique ----------Shelvey Lucas Sterling ----------Borini Carroll Pacheco I'd like to look at Gulasci, Mcloughlin and Sama again, and Agger would allow better passing from defense. Enrique needs match fitness so should be starting most of these games. Shelvey has pretty much been MOM for last two games so should start (Gerrard on for him later). Lucas would be replaced by Adam / Spearing as soon as he starts to flag. I have been impressed with Sterling and Pacheco's interplay and so would like to see them play together again. Carroll and Borini we've not been seen in pre-season yet so would like to see them and also think they might link up well. I would also like to see Suso and Henderson play, too, but given the starters I'm not sure how that could be worked? Anyone else you guys would like to be seen given a run out? Ibe / Morgan / Eccleston?
Only a few hours to go till KO, Spurs are rapidly becoming another one of my disliked teams, so would be nice to give them a good thrashing this afternoon. Show them who is boss.
Hear what you're saying, but we'll just be concentrating on viewing certain players and trying to get some match-fitness, I'd guess. I can see us losing this one, too. We could do with a pre-Europa win, though. I'd say 2-1 to the cocks! ... I mean cockerels, obviously! Once again, I hope I'm wrong. COYR!

The team news is normally released around an hour before kick-off. So I would expect team news to be known in the next 20 minutes or so. I shall get the team up as soon as it is made available!
And we have the team news... Jones - Flanagan Carragher Skrtel Enrique - Spearing Shelvey Adam - Downing Morgan Cole SUBS: Gulacsi, Wisdom, Henderson, Eccleston, Sterling, Sama, Wilson, Robinson, Gerrard, Lucas, Borini, Carroll. So, pretty strong line-up compared to the previous two games. Downing will get his first minutes in this pre-season in a front three with Joe Cole & youngster Adam Morgan. Borini, Gerrard, Henderson & Carroll get places on the bench after joining the group late after the European Championships. Flanagan gets a slot of right-back whilst Shelvey keeps his place after performing well against AS Roma.
Good team as well as a strong bench. I'm hoping to be impressed by new signing Borini as well as the rest of the team. Most importantly, let's hope for a win! Edit - No Pacheco or Aqua either?
