Pre season results mean jack diddly squat played alright....loads of young players...a hundred substitutions etc etc....it's purely a fitness and sharpness exercise
Also when do we ever play the likes of Roma in our second preseason game...... Last year we were playing a malaysian xi at this point. I think there are far more positives than negatives and we have players coming into to cancel out the negatives...Im happy
The commentator misled the American viewers on the stream i watched, he bigged up Roma but failed to stress they were playing our youth team. Always sad to see us lose but its a pre-season friendly and a good run out for the kids and a chance for Lucas regain fitness and confidence. The result is more an embarrassment to FSG than the team due to them not cherrypicking the opposition(maybe New England Revolution?)to have given us a better chance of a win at their Fenway Park home.

It's alright mate I've adjusted to being one of lifes insomniacs please log in to view this image Thought there were plenty of reasons to be cheerful tonight....played ok against a strong Serie A first team (pretty much).
I reckon on saturday we will start with the best players from the last two games and then bring on the likes of Gerrard in the second half. Think Morgan and Eccleston have kicked their last ball of the tour as im hoping Borini and Carroll will get a half each on saturday...... Wouldnt drop either Pacheco or Sterling from the left for Downing though...lol
Mate pre season means **** all. You can win all your pre season games 6-0 and then lose your first 5 league games and then who gives a **** about pre season??? Thought we did ok and on another day we could well have won that by a goal or two. The better team won yes but that was our youth team, reserves and bench against a very good team. Losing 2-1 is better than expected when looked at from that perspective
Agreed although the young lads did pretty well I think the next game will see a more experienced team.
There's only one place we call home bollox you wanna be careful or you'll start a "franchise" debate with that kind of talk
FSG put the massive THIS IS LIVERPOOL FENWAY hoarding outside the ground, they named one end of the ground The Fenway Kop, got a full house with 75% LFC fans......then choose a strong Roma side as our opposition.
I think you expect too much too quick la It will take more than two pre season games mate....and at least we found the back of the net
Welll.....PR ain't their strong point then is it I enjoyed the game though to be fair...and it is a pretty damn cool stadium too
Yep,Fenway is one of the official US listed buildings. Anfield will be joining it soon if FSG dont get their finger out.
