I think there'll still be a few spots up for grabs in the EL final eleven. So I think the game will be better than the last few.

I actually support what he's done though, it's a pisstake that the FA don't support English clubs' European schedules and we've been forced to choose one competition and prioritise it.

If we lose the final I'd hope the league is priority next season from day one and let the kids do the EL, like Fergie used to do with the league cup.

Hope your lad has a great day out either way mate.

I'm sure he will. The place will he packed out and there's nothing on the game so it should be a ding song. Hopefully!

Completely agree on the other things. I don't mind the league Cup but if we don't actually win the EL this season then we should bin it early next season and just go for the league. It's had a big effect on this season, even though I think we still should have gone for and secured top four as none of City, Liverpool or Arsenal have been very good.

As soon as there became nothing on Sunday's game, i.e. Palace are safe and whatever happens affects no one else, the premier league should have switched it to Saturday. It could have been done. Would anyone going to the game have minded? I doubt it.

It's not the FA in this case, it's the premier league and, of course, TV.

Saw my neighbour last night about 10:30pm pull up, he is a Luton fan and he had just got back from Kenilworth Road with a face like thunder <laugh>

3-1 up with 10 minutes left and they conceded 2 goals right at the end to lose 5-6 on aggregate <laugh>

    He was super pissed!!

Reckons he aint gonna renew his season ticket :)
Only costs like £150 for a season ticket for Luton......Costs me more than that to attend one Chelsea game if you factor in food and transportation costs! <laugh>

Last season the FA had no trouble rearranging the Bournemouth game that got called off due to the 'suspect package', so yeah I agree, it could have been moved although it might have disrupted things for away fans who'd booked hotels etc.

Europa League is perfect for blooding youth, if they take a hammering then so be it. We were playing Zlatan, Pogba, Herrera all season, games on Sunday, Thursday, Sunday. It happens with all clubs that compete in that competition, I dare say Spurs might have took that title over Chelsea if they didn't have to bother with it this season.

The final is a fine line between Jose being very clever or very stupid, we weren't good enough to go for the league title but like you say, if we didn't spread ourselves so thin that top 4 was by no means out of reach.

Huddersfield have the history. They were the first team to win the league three times in a row

Reading are a drab team from the drabbest of towns and will therefore win, unfortunately. Their fans will celebrate with a shandy each and be in bed by 10 before putting their Chelsea shirts on again tomorrow.

I took 5/2 on Reading in 90 mins so they'll win on penalties after 120 minutes of passing it between their back four.
