Couldn't agree more, did you hear what he said about being a celebrity?
Absolutely spot on saying this country is obsessed with it, people who've done nothing to achieve it, somehow manage to become 'Celebrities', he was very disapproving of it, and I agree with him entirely.

Very nice down to earth lad, good to see that a lot of the British Olympian seem to be like that.

Nice to see he's not one of the ponces that sucks up to the powers that be, but speaks his mind and says what he means.

    Good on you Bradley Wiggins.

Two golds and two silvers already today. Track cycling on now with the hope of another gold. Controversy in the womens sprint with both team GB and the eventual winners China now dropped positions down to breaking some rule or other.

I went down for the basketball event a couple of days ago... My word, whoever is in charge of directions should be lobbed off a boat, in a sack with just enough bricks (and then a few more) to make the imbecile disappear from consciousness forever...

We exited the park after the game (Britain got humped, as per) at the exit we had figured was the closest to the tube station we needed to be on. We had no idea where it was however, because on exit there was zip directional apparatus. Not a fecking sign in sight. So we trudged over to a few people working for the games and asked for the specific station we wanted. After we asked about 6 volunteers who had absolutely no idea, a couple that couldn't speak english at all, one said "yeah, I know where it is... It's straight down there..."... 1 hour later of travelling in the closest approximation of this flippantly vague point (still, we had not seen a sign in any direction), we found some cockney workers on a late night shift at a building site (either that or they were casing the joint) who we then asked for clarification. Surprise surprise, we were going in exactly the opposite direction to where the station is. By now we'd picked up someone who worked at the games who was also looking for this mythical station (she couldn't speak great English either, which made for an excellently awkward social situation... glad the other half was their as a buffer!), and who had been sent on the same quest by Johnny-big-bollocks...

Anyway, we walked up the road for a bit til we encountered a lady at the bus stop. We asked, she looked bemused, not because we were heading in the wrong direction or couldn't understand us, but because it was going to take us, and I quote, "****ing ages to get there"... She, however, was heading the same way that evening and kindly advised us to get on her bus and follow her. We did, 20 minutes later we got off, she pointed the way, and before we could thank her she vanished into the night...

After we rushed to a tube train, endured another slow few hours among people looking at my attire as if I had beamed in from a time warp (so what if my trousers fit well enough to hide my "I love mummy" underpants, and aren't "skinny"-types with a massive pouch for I don't know what, because the people who wear them definitely don't have big enough gonads to fit a thimble, nevermind the hammocks they use to join strides these days... Oh and yes, this is a ****ing t-shirt, not sheepskin my neanderthal-like strength ripped clean off a living beast to keep me warm in winter, it's not got a massive slit down the front because I'm not ****ing Keira Knightley, or even the metrosexual from "Richard and Judy" (Judy I think his name is), we JUST made it to our final stop before the travel cards ran out!

And on the whole, the park people we encountered were pretty aggressive, narky, unhelpful and downright rude, so I don't understand why so many are saying it makes them feel proud to be British (I suppose we are all those things... guessing from my rant)... Oh well, I have a mate working there now who is definitely not a ****, so maybe some people will go away feeling more satisfied with the experience!

Hope anyone else going has a better experience. The football up here is SOOOOO well signposted it made me wretch a little when we got out at lovely Newcastle train station... You lucky lucky bastards.

I would rather eat my own arm than return to London... Even for an away game!
