Valencia 2010 was clearly Webbers fault in my eyes and has nothing to do with bad luck, neither his bad starts.
I seem to remember Vettel Winning with no KERS, gearbox problems. And to say he is unluckier than Massa , a guy who had the WDC snatched away on the last corner of the last GP, rather than throwing it away race after race, and trouncing his WDC team-mate in the process, then got put out of action and nearly killed by a piece of flying debris, is taking the piss tbh.
We're also talking about a guy who was unlucky even before F1; I seem to remember in Le Mans his Mercedes AMG flipped into the sky twice for no real reason!
well it appears Ferrari have put a stop to the 2011 car now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sarahholt/2011/09/ferrari_turn_focus_to_2012.html I like the BBC harrasment in the comments below!
Would I alienate myself by admitting that I like this track? edit:Hmm I wondered (vaguely) how some members comments came up in different colours
Anyway I reckon that once again Red-Bull will have the best qualifying car courtesy of flexi-wings and DRS and McLaren will have the best race car. Vettel will get pole and stay in the (net) lead to the end. The McLarens will get a poor start and then show good pace from a not so good position and Alonso will perferm brilliantly. I think Button will extend his lead over Hamilton. Mark Webber will do something to hinder McLaren but whatever the something is, it won't be beating his teammate. Hamilton has qualified 2nd for the last 4 races.
I really like Singapore, a bit childish but the main reason is because it's at night. Vettel victory for me, I think McLaren and Ferrari will be close again. Alonso was immense here last year.
Alonso drove well at Monza, didn't make it so easy for others to pass him as he had in previous races, and was pretty aggressive.
On the video chat today Alonso seemed optimistic about his chances at Singapore. I still cant see Ferrari having a good car. Nando will be back in his gold helmet.
0:09 seconds... closer than needed?.. NO. Unlike Hamilton he does not drive into the grass for no reason without contact, what a move by Alonso.. pure racing.
Better add me to your ignore list too !! I've wanted Sch you know who to retire again from his first race back ....
May have something to do with Alonso not turning in early for the corner and leaving MSC room so they can go sisde by side? Just a thought. Anyway, this is the SINGAPORE race thread. I can't see anyone beating Vettel unless he has an issue in the race. He'll get it on pole and control his pace to win at a canter. For Ferrari it is probably their best chance for another win this season. If Alonso gets a sniff then he shouldn't be ruled out.
Red Bull one-two, predicting Kobayashi and Perez to nip into the points if they make it to the end, Sauber is usually good on high-downforce tracks.
