Even though I didn't see him play, Cole looked so alone with no votes

This poll should be restarted without Shearer and just stick him in the team.

Exactly. Then we'd see a fair vote on the other guys.

Same with Beardsley in the midfield poll, people are voting for others because they expect Shearer will walk it.

Obviously I expect Shearer. I was then torn between Ferdinand and Cole. I went for Les because although Cole was a big part of the euphoria of that promotion and re-entry into the PL, he was sulky and took the piss after he left. Les was first class and though he was **** on personally, still has a great affection for us. Also just how in tune he was with the support and understood them was displayed when came back. He got a raucous reception which had him close to tears, and we then booed his first touch of the ball! He laughed and took it in the spirit it was intended. Legend.

I didn't vote for Shearer because I eexpected him to win anyway. Should do the vote again without Shearer.

I'm surprised we have no Michael Owen, Duncan Ferguson or Patrick Kluivert.

Shearer, no contest. On a side note I still can't believe Tiote got in CM ahead of Lee. Did people on this board even see Lee play? He's the best CM we've had in the 20 years I've been watching the Toon without a doubt. Proper legend.
