come on Lucaaas, how many seasons did Rafa get 7th? Yet we want to give KK patience after a CC and probably a 7th place finish? Rafa won us CL, FA cup, CL final, 2nd in the league, he deserved at least another season just like many are saying KK deserves. I agree on 1 more season for KK to fix it, but you wanted Rafa out after 1 bad season then? Knowing he had the H&G saga and the debt and was fighting it for us fans?

Totally dominated for 75 mins shudda bin 4/5 up but 2-0 up with 15 mins u think u have got it won, some terrible defending and a bizarre substitution of Suarez ( he was tearing there defence a new one at the time) when 2-1 up cost us and we lost 3-2
Missed chances, still went 2-0 up ( coates with a goal btw!), Shaun Derry scores from a corner ( 1st goal in 5 years), missed chances again, equalizer off corner Cisse ( Skrtel fault), winner with Enrique and I think Skrtel(?) letting Mackey in for a 1v1 with Reina to finish in stoppage. Game should have been long dead after the first 20 minutes let alone 70.
The one thing that confuses me is that we seem to have changed a lot about what made us successful at the end of last season, it doesn't seem to make much sense
Is this improvement? We have won a trophy, which is good. But winning a Cup does not show our team has improved. We have stalled. Our league ranking and points tally are no better than last season.
Rafa finished 7th after his 2nd year of having no net transfer spend, Kenny had £36m ps. I havnt said get Rafa back ( perhaps others have), though I didnt want him to go when he did, I wanted him to stay,I knew if he was given cash he would buy Qwality, Id be looking for someone better than Rafa, but IMO Rafa would be a lot,lot, lot better than Kenny
I didn't want Rafa sacked at the time. I thought he should've had one more season, to at least try and right the wrongs of that season. I was just making the point that most are calling for Kenny's head saying 7th isn't good enough while also calling for Rafa to come back in even though his last season we were 7th in the league and awful in every single cup. Knocked out by the Arsenal reserves, Reading at Anfield and Fiorentina and Lyon in the CL.
I think I was the only one to call for Rafa back when Kenny was gone but I was not calling for Kenny yet.

Bloody hell... Story of our season. Create a **** load of chances, don't take them and we pay for it. 2 goals up and lose... Not good. At least Coates got his first goal for us. Every cloud and all that. I'll have a look at the game tomorrow and post my thoughts on it all. We'll learn from it. We need a response at home to Wigan on Saturday.
