He is an eesasy one to target, but who else is realistic? Klopp is a good shout but would he leave BVB? He's young too. Talkig of Germans...Klinsmann? J Low?
Of course it is a squad game and guess what, ours is not good enough That net **** is bull for me, 35 million could have got us so much quality, 20 million should have got us quality. Could have spent a lot less on squad players.
I like many others are realist in this and I know opinions will be different but something has to give, is Kenny the right answer? Should we get rid of him? That is up to the bosses but I think FSG will def have a stern talk with him on what is going on.
I agree the squad is not good enough and that the £35m on Carroll could have been spent better, same goes for the £20m on Downing and £8m on Adam. I think the net spend is important. Just saying we have spent over £100m gives the wrong impression since we lost players such as Torres, Babel, Benayoun, Meireles, etc, they all needed replacing. The major error was that we spent £35m to replace Torres with someone that is equally out of form but also of lesser quality!
Well that didn't go to plan. Glad to see Flanagan, Shelvey & Sterling get some game time (even if only 5 mins at the end). Not sure why Coates isn't playing ahead of Carragher, what point is there with Coates sitting on the bench? With Agger injured and nothing to play for he should be there seeing how he can cope. However, this is what I wanted for the rest of the season. Try the kids, see if they can show up the more established players and it might hopefully kick them into shape as well knowing just because they have played 200+ games they aren't garaunteed a place in the squad.
Of course it means nothing. Lets sell one of our best players for £50m and then buy others without replacing said player that was sold
Bluff as someone who knows the real me who used to post half decent posts on this board I would be haoppy enough with Dalglish staying another season to run out his contract...given that he remains on course to the owners set targets. But after the last 2 redults, no matter what we say< whether we stick up for him or give him the stick...I think FSG have made theie choicew. Personaly if he was not going ti stay furthe rafetr his contract why not let someone else buld for the future starting this summmer?
I agree with that I keep saying we should 100% support Kenny as nothing is going to happen until the summer at the very earliest. The decision is not up to us fans, it us up to FSG and I am sure they will fully assess the situation and make a decision based purely on what is best for Liverpool Football Club. What frustrates me is the way people see the football we are playing considering what we was subjected to not so long ago. The only explanation is either short memories, naivety or plain simplicity, maybe a combination?
I'm surprosed you understood it, the was a lot of red squiggly lines when I was writing it from my macs spell checker. ,ok>
Kenny's reaction to the match: Kenny Dalglish attributed our 2-1 defeat to Wigan to tiredness following three games in a week. Goals from Shaun Maloney (pen) and Gary Caldwell meant Luis Suarez's 12th strike of the season was immaterial to the result. Dalglish felt having to compete against Stoke last Sunday and QPR on Wednesday took its toll. "I think we looked a wee bit tired," he said. "We had a lot of possession in the game but we gave away the ball quite a lot in vital positions. It's not because they can't play, it's because of tiredness. "If you play Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday it's going to take its toll. A lot of the lads had played all three games, and for us that's a reason behind our performance. "It's because of the demand on them with games, and we've not had enough players at our disposal to give them adequate rest. "It's a problem we face and it's dictated to the clubs and the players by the television schedule. The fact we've done well in two cup competitions has obviously given us lots of extra fixtures. "We'll accept our progress in the cups and we'll have to accept that we're going to be a little bit tired. If we're going to be successful we've got to be able to handle it." Referee Lee Mason awarded a penalty for a high challenge from Martin Skrtel and disallowed another Suarez goal for handball. Dalglish added: "It doesn't matter how well or badly you play, you still need a wee bit of luck sometimes and there is no reason why the second goal should be chalked off for me. "But we can't control referees, we can control ourselves. We'll brush ourselves down and get ourselves going again. We've got a week's rest now until Newcastle next Sunday, and we'll make the best of that." The game was also notable for the debut of 17-year-old Raheem Sterling, who became the club's third youngest ever player. Jonjo Shelvey and Jon Flanagan were also involved. "It's nice to see the kids get a game but it's also better for us to look after them," said the boss. "We're not going to throw kids in and destroy them, but it's nice to see them on the pitch. "Jonjo came on and gave us a wee bit of a lift as well."
Luck again huh Kenny, Fixture congestion? Lord knows what we would do with CL, sorry Europa and the cups Kenny!! Don't like those reasonings one bit. Sorry to be pessimistic but came across this.... HarryTattersallsmith "If the Premiership started on January 1st Liverpool would be bottom of the league. Interesting stat."
BBB/MSN/ZIngy I hear ya man, Ive known you on this for a while, I can see you have lost a lot of that faith from beginning til now and I understand it 100%. I agree with your post and see your point, but it is up to FSG to make the call and while many say the fans would not want it be angry, I think it would be 50/50 like Rafa, just judging from not606.
