Some news from tomorrow's newspapers to bring you here, as the Independent reckon that Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to let Wayne Rooney leave Manchester United due to a breakdown in their relationship. That would be massive.

From bbc live text. Sounds like things aren't all happy in the United camp...

Back to tonight's game, think it was as expected. Anything less would have been disapointing and for Downing, Shelvey & Carroll to all get on the scoresheet should give them good confidence. Kuyt sounds like he had a poor game, which sums up his season. Feel this could be his last one for Liverpool, although he's been a model pro. Same with Carragher I feel.

Not a thing, think we are a club on the up, in the last window, Kenny shifted some dead wood and brought in an English spine, which has helped to return our identity. Some players have settled bettr than others, the likes of Suarez and Enrique have been exceptional. Others such as Downing and Carroll have started slowly, this is the way it is with some players, but I see this as a great sign, they will improve and once we start taking our chances, I predict we can go on a nice little run and nick fourth.

Then on to stage 2 of the rebuilding plan. In Kenny we trust, great time to be a LFC fan! Big shout to Downing for scoring his first, hopefully the lad will go on a fine run of form from now! Sure we will see a few great signings in Jan too...

Extremely promising talent. Him and Kelly are the youngsters to watch that currently get a shot in the first team.

Although, look out for Sterling and Morgan who'll be breaking through soonish.

Anyone know what Adeyemi was crying about? Have to say its a bit dramatic crying about anything a fan says. Gerrard had years of horrible abuse, I never saw him cry about it and refuse to play.

Coates looked shaky this game but has done well in his other appearances, a bit harsh that jkiel. I thought Jonjo was **** until the last 30 or so, especially after he got the goal his confidence was soaring and he was pulling strings.

Lamps to leave Chelsea, Rooney to leave United? You think Carroll will want to leave us <yikes>

Good for him and Downing, hopefully they can breathe a bit easier and be more relaxed in their play.

I'm a fan of Shelvey. Great energy and work ethic. His movement, finishing and forward passes are good. If he builds up a little more muscle and works on his playing out wide he could turn into a great, versatile attacking midfielder.

With Suarez out I wouldn't mind seeing him get some games playing in behind the striker, especially now he has a goal to his name.

In what may be a record, Manchester United and Wayne Rooney have issued a statement in which they have described a newspaper report that the England striker is about to leave the club as "nonsense". That was very fast work at Old Trafford.

About 20 minutes after this story came out, both United & Rooney have said it's crap. Very quick to deny it.

The cesspit of unsubstantiated rumours (twitter), is buzzing with twats claiming that Liverpool are disgraceful because Adeyemi was racially abused.

I will wait before jumping to moronic assumptions.
