People don't lack common sense for suggesting that Ben Arfa starts. If he had been on the teamsheet tonight, most people wouldn't be moaning!
So tonight in the interest of partiality we have a Liverpool player on loan and Jamie Redknapp as the guest and the presenter is a Sunderland fan, all there for a Liverpool win.
Quite happy with that line up. We need a bit of metal in the team which Spearing will provide. He's also got a point to prove - I would argue he's fighting for his Liverpool carear. Happy going forward, Maxi will be an impact sub.
JBcommentator John Bradley Tonight is the 3rd time in his short LFC career that Andy Carroll has started 3 games on spin - he's scored in both previous runs
Come on Haris lad, bags of talent, going to be good to see him further forward than he was in his last MOTM performance.
I'm going for Tim Krul to pull off 10+ saves tonight including 2 that are "world class" and a last minute goal mouth scramble that gets cleared off the line. Think we should win this one though... at some point we will start putting some of these chances away and we've created plenty even without Suarez. Newcastle have been on a bad run recently against teams at the top so lets hope continue that trend.
The boy Vuckic starts, probably in behind Demba. Great opportunity for the lad, deserves it after his West Brom performance, Ben Arfa will probably get another half hour at the end. Hopefully this means we will play some good passing football. I'm looking at their central midfield and if Tiote, Cabaye apply themselves and partner up like they did at the start of the season - along with Vuckic - then Spearing and Adam can be bossed. Worried about their forward line though, Carroll and Bellamy has goals in it if they gel well.
Vuckic over Ben Arfa, bold move. Looking forward to seeing him play, especially given the fact that he'll have less desensive responsibilities than he had against WBA. Bit disappointed Raylor is in over Santon.
Ya but adam, hendo, and spearo don't really fill me with confidence. WIll have energy but quality in attack we shall see. I like Bellamy off of Carroll though, think that can work.
Always the same with Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham. Always have Christmas training at Tottenham with Jim White there for Sky Sports News.
Not entirely happy with that lineup. IMHO gerrard should've started in place of adam. If he's fit enough for 35mins in the second half then he should start, at least the first half. Downing should be dropped. No doubt about it, he needs to know that playing crap means you don't play. I sincerely hope he plays on the left, as on the right he's about as useful as playing carragher there. At least on the left he can cross it. Kuyt should've started in his place. We'll see, but I can see us losing this in all honesty. I hope I'm wrong. Glad to see spearing back as well. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
let's hope Spearo does the job and allows Adam to go forward. Adam has been shocking recently without Lucas beside him.
Especially for us as at some point we have to beat one of the top 6 if we are to break it, yet to achieve it.
