In a sense, it's not too bad because we rested literally 90% of our starting 11 and they weren't even on the bench as an option. However, that was one of the flattest, dullest games I've seen us ever play. No passion, no energy, no pace, no desire to score or win. Just ****e. Kenny will be fine knowing that he rested so many key players for the big game at the weekend, but we should never be looking to draw or lose games AT HOME against fullham - and we were never going to win with that 18 tonight. Dismal. Also consider those players were fighting for their starting spot against Chelsea, pathetic how little they seemed to care. Doni was ok. Coates was ok. Spearing was ok. Sterling was good. The rest were ****.
Still got pride to play for an the badge. Something everyone seemed to forget on the pitch. Pretty embarrassing and the players should feel ashamed for their limp attitude
Might be a nothing game, but then again its a home game to a team who have never won at Anfield. Frankly its not good enough and there have been too many times we've said that about home games this season. I know we've got a Final this weekend but how many of those players out there tonight will play on Sat? Skrtel and thats it. These players tonight should have been fighting to show that they should be selected and some need to start fighting to show that they should be Liverpool players next season.
There are many words and phrases to describe that 'performance'... Anyway, well done Fulham! Fully deserved the three points.
You'd still expect the players to show a bit of passion though to try and prove they are worthy of a place in the team
Dunno what you expected really, most of them knew they weren't going to be playing in the final, and they played like it.
Apart from in the cups. That the important thing. We have (hard as it is to believe) a 100% win record in the cups (discounting the draw at home to City.)
Well our other performances at home have been more about profligacy infront of goal, rather than lack of application/effort. Tonight was different, it was a flat performance aswell.
I think Kenny will step down at the end of the season anyway, so I don't think it matters that much anymore about the league. Just Kenny going out on the high of winning an FA cup.
We are a cup team, average players get up for cup games but can't sustain it and get found out in the league. Looked clueless without Suarez and Gerrard going forward. Might as well just win the FA cup and then look to get some youngsters through.
He's done what he's set out to do anyway, he stopped us sinking and then turned us around and pointed us into the right direction. Ended our trophy drought and got rid of most of the waste of spaces in our squad. And got us back into Europe. I did expect more from him in the league but I'm not too bothered about that now and he's done a good job overall. If he leaves at the end of the season he can leave with his head held high, regardless of the FA cup final result.
any hint on who is coming in? with rumour on about kenny galivanting around europe for players i am afraid it is gonna be another pile of s*h$£t
We do have some good players, but we also have some overpriced players that are quickly looking like the new deadwood.
This The players should have pride in the shirt. And Kenny's focus on the cups is not helpful. Winning is a habit and if we are not careful we could end up in 10th or lower. We do need a change in the summer.
Yeah but when people like Henderson and Adam are being talked about as the squad's average players then you know you aren't in a bad position. Compare them to Poulsen, Konchesky and Kyrgiakos last season.
