Exactly this. Dempsey is getting too much time, Lucas would of completely cancelled him out. To be fair though, like you say he's done well considering he's not played for a while.
Spearing has done well on the ball but off the ball his doing something wrong, too much space in front of the defenders, Dempsey has received the ball plenty times with direct passing, shouldn't be the case. Carroll's shot was difficult to hit on target nevermind trying to aim it away from the keeper, good attempt. Henderson's shot was unlucky not to go in, good game so far but I can see Maxi being brought on as we need that extra bit of sting in the box.
Id be thinkin of bringin on Kuyt,Maxi and Downing, its gotta be Carroll the 1st one to come off Hes not been too bad 1st half, but we look a lot better side when he isnt playing
Seems like we all agree on Spearing and Maxi, no doubt KK and Steve Clarke will be thinking the same..
VERY harsh. His first touch has improved and his overall ball control has meant his been pretty reliable on the ball. He hasn't wasted many (If any?) balls via passing (Using his feet) and his showing glimpses of getting a goal.

I agree he hasnt played badly, BUT the TEAM doesnt gel as well when he plays, we cannot hide that fact!!!And we need a goal
We have to go at them in the 2nd half, the players need to up the pace we slowed it down for the last 20 mins. Would like to see Bellamy up front with Suarez so maybe Kuyt on for Carroll. Not sure as to Kuyt or Maxi to come on but Carroll to come off and not because he is playing badly but just for tactical reasons.
not a bad first half. just tighten up the midfield a tad to cut off the balls to dempsey and we should be ok. we look good going foward, hopefully we'll bang a couple in this half.
I think our delivery to him has been nicely mixed. When we've gone long he's held it up/ gotten some nice flick ons and when we've given it to feet he's managed a decent shot (and showed nice movement for the one at the near post he couldn't get contact on). He's been arguably more of a threat than Bellamy but because of the hysteria surrounding Carroll he gets the focus. Fulham have still had some half decent results at CC and it has always been a tough place to go, i'm enjoying the game as lot and reckon we can do this!
There is no doubt we are coming close to scoring, taking off Carroll would do more bad than good. Sure we might get a goal, but I'm pretty confident we'll get that goal if he stays on.
Hangeland didn't play the ball there but that is a classic boy cried wolf, all the other flops and a legitimate claim goes unanswered.
