If Vettel has a lead of more than 5 secs coming into the first stop then he probably will win, but I can't see that happening due to a safety car. Even though Red Bull looked quick on the high fuel runs on Friday I am sure McLaren had more up there sleeve and will be right on them tomorrow. You when you get that feeling even as a rival fan when Lewis is on it and he can win... I have that same feeling right now. I think maybe Lewis will get past Jenson at the start and the 2 McLaren's will launch there attack at Sebastian while letting Mark, Fernando and Felipe fight over crumbs. Imagine if they were side by side going into 130R and Mark had the inside Felipe was in the middle and Fernando round the outside and Felipe kinda backs off and nearly touches Alonso's left rear tyre and nearly touches Mark's right rear tyre and then Mark and Fernando give it some and are side by side going into the chicane and then out of nowhere Mark keeps it together for the chicane and nearly does a Sutil-Heikki 2009 incident but just gets away with it...
Ted said McLaren were running more wing than everyone else I think, so they'd have gained more in quali from unlimited DRS. I think it will be pretty much even between the front three, I expect Vettel to do a better job.
How do you think Seb will be feeling mentally? (I assume your a fan of his by your picture there and your posts). Do you think he'll going into the race thinking " Hamilton don't crash into me " or " Just to be safe if Lewis or Jenson get along side me just let them through without too much of a fight " or " I want to win and I want to get the 2-2-2 at Suzuka along with the title at such a legendary circuit " For a driver as young as him Vettel seems so mentally tough and at ease just how Jake described Seb turning up to Singapore in the evening " Looks like he's turning up for double maths " but I honestly think his mindset will be the latter there.
I've actually predicted Alonso for a cheeky win in the inter-forum predictions, but on the eve of the race I'd guess: 1. Button 2. Vettel 3. Hamilton (or bust) 4. Alonso 5. Webber 6. Schumacher
I dont expect to see Lewis or Massa get out of the first corner in 1 piece, with Jenson and Seb trading blows for the first few laps until the fuel starts to go down and Sebs wing advantage will start to come into effect. Mark and Fernando will be fighting for 3rd at the start, but hard tyres will ruin the race for Ferrari and will have to settel for 4th in the end. Kamui to beat Schumacher to 5th tomorrow... 1st:Seb 2nd:Jenson 3rd:Webber 4th:Alonso 5thKamui 6th:Schumacher 7th:Senna 8th:Sutil 9th:Rosberg 10th: Di Resta
Outside bet on the saubers? if tyre degradation is as high as they think it's going to be it coud save them 2 or even 3 stops, possible podium.
Good afternoon/evening/morning everyone. This one is either gonna be a cracker or a borefest. Hopefully not the latter.
