Why are Mclaren going for more downforce? Just go for broke because they really have nothing to lose.

wow optimism at its finest.

red bull have this in the bag imo. vettel was half a second faster than any other non-red bull. come race day webber will be holding of the mercedees letting vettel open up a nice lead. mclaren and ferrari look poor

 

Wait until the race, the only reason why theyre keeping up is because of DRS, nothing else.

 

Vettel came 2nd, 1st, 2nd in practice last year at Monza but qualified 6th. You can't read into practice.

 

Yes but coming off the back of a 1-2 in spa (another "weak" track for them) its ominous.

 

maybe not but alonso has given no indication in all 3 practices he can even qualify in the top 4. you have to to optimistic to think he can win. i cant see him starting any higher than 5th. vettel has been the fastest in the past 2 practices and looks very good

its setting up nicely for when the teams turn the engines up. Webber seemed on the limiter already but he was getting a tow at the time.

 

i reckon mclaren have been sandbagging and willl pull it out. and mercedes are fast as well.

It's still before quali and I havn't made a vote this week, so I want Hamilton rather than Vettel who is my default driver if I forget to vote (as written back in May after 2 of my votes for vettel didn't go through). I thought voting ended before quali.

I think this is going to be Vettel's weekend, fastest in the last two practices, slowest in the speed trap for all three. I think they're sandbagging. Webber's 10kph faster with the same aero and an old engine.

McLaren are running more downforce which I think is a mistake, I expect them to fall through the pack at the start of the race tomorrow, they'll be really vulnerable until DRS is available, and even then I think they'll still be disadvantaged.

 

I think it will be Vettel and Hamilton on the front row, but I wouldn't like to say which way round they'll be

 

I agree with that. possibly even a supprise Mercedes but Red bull seem to have 'Cracked' monza
