I know we have new tires that dont last long but didnt Vettel manage last year to only do 1 stop and that stop came 1 or 2 laps before the end of the race. Its interesting some of the top 10 have decided to do there qualy 3 lap on hard tires. so Possibly a 1 stop supprise to look out for
Should be a 2 stop race for those starting on options, a few on primes might try a 1 stop. First stop around lap 16, second around lap 36 2 stops. First stop around lap 30 for the 1 stop (though that wont be easy). A few may be forced to do a 3 stops though.
Most of them will be on high fuel. I think it will be an easy two stop, with some people gambling on a one stop. I think Vettel will be quick into the first corner with his close gearing, but vulnerable on the straights after that so he'll have to quickly pull a gap to the McLarens.
Whats the odds on Webber going backwards at the start? I think the first corner will be Vettels but I can see him being 3rd by the first round of stops.
Literally? The way he's been going recently I could actually see him engaging reverse by accident and flying into Petrov(?) behind him.
He pulls away like a granny, lots of revs and then hangs around on the clutch. Then again they're all revving to kingdom come.
We saw Mark overtake Fernando around the outside of Eau Rouge so I wonder if we'll see Jenson get Vettel around the outside of Ascari?
Its just that in his interview he said he is going to be less aggresive and finish the race which equals him being over taken, getting annoyed and crashing. But lets hope this doesnt happen.
If there is no SC, and they are half decent on the mediums. I'm claiming Alonso will win. Ive got that feeling again. 5 times out of the last 6 i have been correct
I think with Vettel's gearing he will easily get away at the start, but Hamilton, Button and Alonso need to keep with him so they can try and get him on a straight. I am pumped for this race, last years race was one of my favourite with the Button/Alonso battle, Alonso being faster on the straights and Button having to making it up through the corners. This years race could be similar with Vettel having to make it up through the corners with the Mclarens and Alonso being faster on the straights.
